I think that the scorecards were gifts yes... How is it that one judge had lara 115 the other judge had canelo 117... Fact is that provodnikov landed more punches in his fight against algiere and still lost. while canleo barely landed anything (except for those three rounds with crazy hard body shots) in the whole fight.

yea but anybody that watches angulo fights knows his punch output nearly doubles in those last two rounds.

He's only been stopped once in what was a freak occurrence that didn't make any sense, so it's a bit unfair to say he doesn't take a shot very well. If anything, excluding the Ishidia fight, I'd say the guy can take a hell of a shot given he has poor defense and always comes forward. Canelo's power is a bit exaggerated as well, not saying he can't stop Kirkland but it's not an absolute given. Also, Kirkland is bringing an 85% KO ratio and the guy's conditioning and frantic pace could be a nightmare scenario for Alvarez in the later rounds when he typically gasses. So all these ingredients make for a very exciting and intriguing fight IMO.

I don't think Canelo hits as hard as it looks either. He's big, powerful and gets a lot of torque into his shots, but I believe they look bigger than they actually are.

Saying that, I think his accuracy mixed with his natural size results in power at least equal to Angulo. I'm not one for triangle theories, but when it comes to power there can be some carry over....I can't help but remember how badly hurt Kirkland was by Angulo who was too sloppy to finish the fight. I can't see him standing up to Canelo's shots. Canelo puts big shots together very well against brawlers, I think he'll wipe Kirkland out in relatively quick fashion.

People think chavez lost the first fight with vera even though he outlanded vera and landed 50% of the power shots, did you think chavez jr lost that fight?

I originally had canelo/lara even which was i think the correct score, but it could have gone either way, it really was that close of a fight. 117-111 was bs but had canelo won 115-113 across the board would you still say he won a gift decision?

Canelo is simply more offensively skilled than Kirkland. He should be able to bomb him out quick. However, this is a fight that could ruin him if he loses.

Its quite possible, but he would of had to worry about the output of canelo doe i dont think he would of made it 12 rounds. At the end of the day angulo was getting beat up man.. if kirkland has anne wolfe in his corner he will be a beast on fight night, and i would take you up on your point bet.
