Once again, boxing is not a points system and is not league based.
You have to have bounderies otherwise you could take the piss.
If buster douglas after defeating tyson literally fought twice in 3 years beating Deontay wilder level competition, and tyson went on his run after he was released from prison(ets say right after the buster douglas loss hypothetical i know) by your woeful logic buster douglas in ranked number 1.
You have no standards or bounderies to your criteria. Basically you are saying andre ward can dine off the suoer 6 for the rest of his life.
If he say retired in 2011 and came bck in 2015 to fight a live super middle, do you still have ward ranked number 1 in the super middle weight division. You have no scope whether he has declined, you have no logic of his form, but because he had a good super 6 where he cheated and fought all his fights at home he would be number 1 in your eyes...
Im sorry me and divine hammer are truely ****ing you mate in this debate...

Rodriguez was #3 and Groves was #2.
This is the first source of 3 that I've posted that even has Groves higher than Rodriguez leading up to their matchups with said contenders (froch/ward).Originally posted by KevinHenry007 View Posthttp://www.telegram.com/article/2013...plate=printart
Edwin Rodriguez is ranked #1 according to the WBC rankings leading up to his fight. I'm not sure where Groves is on the charts.

I just did a bit more research and Groves was ranked #5 by The Ring and Rodriguez was #7, respectively.
The reason Rodriguez dropped out of rankings was because he failed to make weight for the slated 168 lb bout.
And just so you guys know, you laugh at the rankings I provided, but according to many, The Ring has become a joke over the years so it's definitely not the end all be all like it once was.
Again, Groves was #5 and Rodriguez was #7 according to the ring. They were the same caliber opponent, but I still believe Rodriguez had the better resume.
