    You can't be shocked

These guys aren't fighting in a phone booth for a reason, the real estate is there to use. Lara made Canelo miss all night, hit him with that straight 1-2 all night long. Really fought a beautiful fight. Canelo did stand up to some shots though, have to give him credit for that but he got raked across the beak all night.

Close one. Not a huge fan of Lara's escape artist style of fighting but I definitely think it could have been a draw. If he'd made Canelo miss a little more or established dominance throughout the fight and mounted some type of heavy offense then ok. But when you're on the backfoot 90% of the fight and aren't seriously hurting the other man, you have to question the legitimacy of his claims. Of course I've been drinking.. but it's my perspective as of now. Need to rewatch this badboy a couple times.

I thought it was BS, especially 111-117 in favor for Canelo. Lara should have won it, the judge who scored 111-117 was possibly a bias Mexican too.

Lara played it smart, it's not like he was running the whole fight, he was throwing too and dodge most of Canelo's punches. Too bad Lara won't get a hard deserved rematch.

I don't score fights while watching live. Actually tell my homeboy immediately after the final bell they were gonna rob Lara. But when 117-111 was read, I was confident Lara got the nod.

This guy Canelo already has at least one scorecard in the bag before the fight even starts...Trout (116-111, 118-109); Mayweather (114-114); now this (117-111)...Lara won the fight...Most of the body shots Canelo landed didn't even have leverage on them--mostly arm punches on Lara's way out...and he landed nothing to the head really...

Lara WON ...I think Lara did just enough " running" for them to take it away from him . I'm not surprised with the decision ,although 117 - 111 is a little extreme . I will say Canelo did some great body work. Pretty much agree with everything Pauile said.

Lara tried to catch and shot. It was even point out by AL. I think he was a little weary of Canelo's power so he resorted to running around jabbing and pot shotting. That's all good in the Am's but this is the pro's you have to be a little more dynamic than that..

The reactions in the corner after the fight usually tell u who won...Lara's corner looked like they won...Canelo's was quiet, heads down....
