YES, Lara is at a bit of a loss when his opponent is applying extreme pressure and he'll shell up when he runs out of ring or mistimes his footwork.. You understand that Canelo is a guy that basically stands in one spot and works his offense, yeah?? He doesn't stalk. He doesn't collapse. He doesn't crash in. He tries to outbox everybody toe to toe. He was even ****** enough to try that crap with Mayweather. I don't expect him to be any different against Lara. Neither does Austin Trout.
Well, A-Wolf sounds pretty confident. I gotta roll with this dude. **** ya'll. Peace b*tches.

Lara could always try what he did vs Williams. Hit and grab. Rinse and repeat.

      But will he?

He didn't do it when it mattered most - against Floyd. He didn't do it against Trout when it was prototime to "start walking him down." He stayed on the outside and allowed it to be closer than it should have been. He lost resoundingly to Floyd of course.

If he starts doing it now I'll be amazed but even if he does add pressuring to his repertoire for this fight he's got one of the worst guys in the game to try and stay with athletically. Even on a good day.

Until I got a chance to see Canelo doing some roadwork in the most recent episode of All Access I was wondering what his deal was. Now I have a slightly better understanding. He's gimpy. Like Forrest Gimpy.

If he starts pressuring then he better hope Lara get's taken out in the first half of the fight. Cause if hes not, Canelo will gas even faster. Especially with a guy hitting you back who can hurt.

Oh yeah, Lara has gotten better at defending inside, as opposed to the "earmuffs". He still shells up but not as often

Probably not. Fully agree with your post. Ive been ridiculed for believing this fight is far from 50-50 in favor of Lara. Glad to see you share a similar perspective.

This is the dumbest triangle theory I have ever heard. Canelo is not a pressure fighter he is a stationary boxer-puncher who actually gives ground! lol he was dumbfounded by Matthew Hatton

Angulo cuts off the ring and has faster feet than Canelo because he doesn't care about squaring up, stepping over or tripping over his own feet. He will literally run full force across the ring to try trap you.
A big key was he is willing to take 10 to give 1. Canelo is defensively minded.

Canelo can not cut a ring off! He couldn't against Hatton or Floyd in the latter rounds he just followed them around and neither utilised half the lateral movement a Lara does.

Easy fight man, Lara takes this kid too school. He ain't beating no Cuban schooled southpaw in a counterpunching contest.
