That alone has created bad habits for Saul but since he has gotten away with it against every other fighter he has faced not name Floyd, he is comfortable with it. I honestly don't think he tried pressuring Floyd, I think he was more or less frustrated, tired and just threw whatever he could attempting to at least land something since he saw he was nowhere near Mayweather's level of boxing. IDK it's a good fight and I'm glad we could finally have an intelligent thread not rampant with racism, ignorance and biased fans. This is how it should be

Oh forgot to add, I agree moving up in weight could solve a lot of his issues. However his dumb ass thinks he could stay at 154 forever i swear I like Canelo but some of his statements make me cringe and bow my head in shame.
I never really noticed that about his training. Well, idk if he was pressuring or not but it definitely felt he was coming forward more. I have real bad memory when it comes to fights. Ive never really said anything disrespectful to anyone who talks sense even if I dont agree. Plus I said in the master thread I was done talking smack. Lol

How can you be 24 and claim that you will never move up. I guess he'll learn the hard way.

I believe the fight will be extermely close till the mid rounds where Canelo will show his dominance as The body shots he landed start to wither Lara down.

Not a bad analysis from Doug. Still, I don't think he understands just how troubling Canelo's concrete legs will be for him in this match. His lack of footwork is a disaster and it's going to spell big big problems for him.

Maybe. But it's kind of like I said earlier, for every point there's a counterpoint. Both these guys have strengths and weaknesses. The question then becomes: which strengths outweigh which weaknesses? That's really what they mean by "styles make fights."

I happen to agree that Lara's footwork will serve him well in this fight. But will Lara be able to weather hard combos from Canelo? Landy has a tendency to go into that high guard and not return fire (as mentioned in the interview). I don't like that habit, and I like it even less for this fight.

I also think it's a 50/50 fight. Great analysis from Doug Fisher. I do find it funny how people say that Canelo won't be able to tag Lara like Angulo because "styles make fights" yet they also expect Lara to counterpunch Canelo like he did Angulo, even though Canelo has much better defense and uses more head movement. lol I personally don't think Canelo will tag Lara as much as Angulo because he doesn't pressure as constantly as him. I also don't think Lara is going to pick off Canelo like he did Angulo, because is a much better boxer with better head movement than Angulo.

Chances are he wouldn't have to pick off Canelo as often as he did Angulo in order to make him hesitant to commit to his punches.

Nice breakdown by Fischer. Although his prediction was delivered with great uncertainty lol. I think he showed more confidence when he picked Canelo over Floyd.

I like and agree with much of his analysis, but picking a winner in boxing matches is a bad proposition. No matter how good you are, you're going to be wrong a large percentage of the time. That goes for sports betting in general, actually. Fights like these are anyone's guess, worthy of a token bet at best.
