Didn't look shot to me. Definitely passed it but not shot.

I disagree with you on that one.

I think they were more than happy to fight the guys they were for the money they were.

I think both parties weren't jumping to get the fight made.

I think Manny has always wanted it more than Floyd.

Manny's both wins over Bradley **** all over what Mayweather has done since coming back from "retirement".

I truly don't think so. I think almost every move Floyd made from his return up until he fought Mosley -- both word and deed -- indicated that the man he wanted to fight was Pacquiao.

Very clearly, and it should be held against both of their careers from 2010 and on. Almost every fight they've fought since has been a disappointment because they should have fought each other.

Only fights I don't hold against them are Bradley 2 for Pacquiao, and Mosley and Alvarez for Mayweather.

2010, definitely. I argued P@ctard style against Mayweather then, but that was because I truly believed the drug testing would end up not mattering and the fight would happen later that year. Pac's completely to blame for it not happening that time.

Since then? Pac's wanted it since Marquez 3, I think, but never enough to make the stand he'd have to. And Mayweather's made about half a dozen excuses since that first negotiation.

I can't argue with you. My perspective is that Mayweather returned to boxing with Pacquiao as his #1 goal.

                    1. He announced his return by holding a press conference the day of the Pacquiao-Hatton fight at that same venue.

                    2. He announced his opponent would be Pacquiao's nemesis.

                    3. He offered step-aside money to Marquez if Pacquiao was willing to negotiate.

                    4. He immediately began negotiating the fight almost as soon as it became available.

After negotiations fell through and he had to fight Mosley instead, Floyd said he wouldn't do the fight for 50-50 and that he wouldn't compromise on testing. After his offer in 2012 was turned down -- and his position grew to ridiculous levels -- he basically said F-U Arum. It is what it is.

Agreed but ultimately...doesn't matter. Not like Floyd was ballooning to 160 and Marquez always comes in around 148.
