Nothing happened to it because it never existed, each fight should be judged on it's 12 rounds alone not giving 1 guy bonus points because he walked in with the best, its a bloody ****** saying

I don't know how you win a fight by going backwards the entire fight.

Round 12 Algieri was straight up running and refusing to engage.

Boxing isn't about running, if you don't want to fight you shouldn't get in the ring. I don't like the direction the sport is going.

Something Algieri did for the vast majority of those 12 rounds inside the ring.

Did something change toward the latter stages of the fight and Algeiri start running? Fell asleep in the mid-rounds (I think) and I remember him just moving and outboxing Provodnikov, not running. Provodnikov had plenty of chances to land meaningful punches but Algeiri was too slick.

Fighters need to stop this crap about 'running' when the other guy actually threw more punches. It's a skill to be able to throw punches while on the move.
Learn to cut off the ring and jab your way inside instead of making lame excuses.

I agree 100%. I find it so ****** when people talk about u supposed to really beat up the champion to win it. Where the hell that rule came from.
