wasnt the eye thing what supposedly held matthysse from winning? "if his eye wasnt shut he wouldve won" I guess if his eye wanst closed against Provo he would've shut him out! But seriously if thats his style and the other style is a prodding brawler wouldnt you also BOX him? Or if you know you have an advantage against someone shouldnt you use it or fight the opponents fight? Real easy.

Provo was ****** for getting too excited after the 1st round. Since then, he stopped working the body, and just headhunted the rest of the fight. It's his own fault.

In real world of fighting outside boxing arena, power punching count most and decide the end fate of duel. But this is boxing in arena full of rules. Prov style as aggressive and will stand toe to toe is exciting and what most fans loved, but fell prey to the boring style of Algier! But this is sweet science all about in boxing. Prov is definitely supreme against Algier being offensive, but leaving defense to Algier’s pitty-pat punches is enough to cost him all. Not only Prov but Algier must learn from this lesson that none of them was neither better nor dismal fighter but a combinations of their styles is what it needed to become a better and complete fighter! And Prov who is in boxing business for long time should know that the bout was in 12 rounds, and it count every round whether in toe-to-toe or in pitty-pat style employed.

And all Provo did was follow him around the ring like a puppy and throw hooks and looping rights. Provo had horrible punch selection. He threw the same combo(lefthook-right cross) over and over. Not once did he throw an uppercut and didn't double up his punches.

Btw where was this great inside game most of y'all were talking about? And how was Algie running when he landed more and threw more punches?
