I respected Algeri because he got off the canvas 2 times in the first round and didn't go crazy, stuck to the gameplan. The fight was close.
Algeri wasn't running, he wasn't going to stand there and trade with a guy like Provo but he was countering and moving with high effectiveness.
Still I think in a close fight unless its a clear victory the champion should get the benefit of the doubt. I thought Provo deserved the W in this one.

I rarely, if ever watch in-ring postfight interviews, and this one was no different. The only good thing about them are that you often get an honest reaction from fighters. And from all that I've read. It seems like in the iimmediate aftermath, Provo honestly admitted that Algeri'ssstyle gave him fits. But now, likely with coaching from Roach amd others. And likely brousing through message boards and social media. It was predictable that Provo was gonna change his tune. Get over it, you lost.

There should be a rematch. Roach should work more with Ruslan on ring generalship, especially cutting off the ring. Then he will clearly beat this guy and knock him out in the process.
