And, I will admit that I was thinking of the Daniels fight where he made more on HBO. Either way, that's quite a step away from making the same money fighting Calzaghe, who was a much greater threat.

That said, Joe didn't agree to anything yet and there's no way to know if he would have actually came over for the fight anyways.
It doesn't matter what you were thinking of - you'd still be wrong. $3m was his highest purse. To put it into perspective, he was paid $3m to fight Pavlik years later.

Calzaghe had agreed to the fight. No amount of you denying it is going to change that.

i think Joe woulda slapped the **** out of Froch for 12 rounds

            Bitterness from Slappy.

He is coming to terms with the fact that Carl's legacy laughs at his, and that the boxing world knows it. Carl went into the lions den whenever, Joe stayed at home. Carl fights the best, Joe fought cans. Carl avoids nobody, Joe wanted no part of Jones until he was shot.

Saying what you would have done means nothing when you had the chance to actually prove it and didn't.

            Carl's Legacy and career>>>>>>>>>>>>Calzaghe's.

You said signed to fight. Not quite the same thing since you know so much about boxing. British boxing at that.

You can be as pedantic as you want. Your original post stated that Calzaghe avoided Hopkins in his prime. It's been proven to you repeatedly that it was Hopkins who backed out of the fight, not Calzaghe. There really isn't anything left to say.

                      He should have fought him.

I wonder how it would have effected Carl's career if they did fight.

It is hard to imagine how Calzaghe wouldn't have looked sensational against Froch.
