Froch will be remembered as a warrior that gave it his all and left everything in the ring. Calzaghe will only be remembered in Britain for his undefeated record and slapping punches. Froch would have laid him out.Comment

Froch has an amazing resume and better than almost everyone in modern boxing history.
The one thing that will always be against him when it comes to the Calzaghe comparisons is that he had 2 close fights with Kessler. I thought he could have got the decision in the first fight but it was very close and could have gone either way. He won the second one clear but close.
Calzaghe completely outclassed a prime and undefeated Kessler at the peak of his powers to become the undisputed number 1 at Super Middleweight - something Carl has never been able to call himself as yet.

a pretty fair appraisal imo.
styles make fights; calzaghe was fast, and fit enough to run for 12 rounds so probably would have decisioned froch for the win most times.
but "destroyed"? no way jose.Comment

The way Dirrell fought was atrocious, no way he deserved to win that imo. You don't take the belt off a champion in his own back yard by literally running away the whole fight.Comment
