This isn't a case of two fighters where you can debate who is greater, like Vitali and Wladimir. This is one man who is THE CHAMP and one man who he has beaten. How can Froch consider himself a champ without trying all he can to avenge his loss?
He does want to avenge the loss but, at the moment, that is the only motivation to face Ward. There are more lucrative options for Froch.

We can all pretend we live in Neverland with rainbows and unicorns where everyone fights just for "pride" or we can live in the real world where there's more to it than that.

Andre Ward is clearly happy being the number 4 or 5 earner at Super Middleweight behind the likes of George Groves

I'm a ward fan, always have been. But the dude comes off selfish and entitled, amd I'm tired of his god nonsense. Stop listening to god and listen to the fans and maybe hull get bigger and better fights.

Until than, there's a handful of guys I rather see Froch fight than Ward.

A few people on this site would probably like to see the ward fight ... you could probably count them on one hand.

Ward probably wants it as long as he's the 'A side' and it's infront of 17 people in oakland rather than 80,000 people in England.

Froch ... well imo if his fans were screaming for him to fight ward then I think he would ... but the thing is they aren't. Nobody is.

I'm a Froch fan and the Ward fight is the one I want to see the most. I think he's earned it and is more confident now than he ever has been.

I don't blame Froch for going another route. We all know Ward would rent his arsehole out for the Chavez Jr fight himself.

No I really don't. You're trying to be funny or ironic in some way I guess but I don't get it?

How amusing that it was Froch doing Ward's dirty business for him in smashing Bute that set him up on the path of becoming one of the biggest attractions in all of world boxing (120,000 tickets sold in his last three fights, all of which were ppv) and Ward's stock has only dipped in the same amount of time.
