Check the dates. Who had Froch fought before Calzaghe fought Kessler and Hopkins?

It's a shame, but Froch needs to take a lot of the blame for that. He didn't step up to world class until his 30s. Calzaghe had bigger fish to fry. The only reason Froch fought Groves is because he didn't.
They overlapped the same way Groves and Froch did, ie Froch near the end and Groves breaking through.

    Difference is Calzaghe ducked Froch.

The fight could've been made quite easily, they had 50,000 at the Millenium stadium for Peter Manfredo FFS.

And who else did Froch have to fight against? Kessler III?

Froch needed to make that fight happen by bringing something to the table. He didn't. Of course, some would say he didn't want it anyway as it was a bad match up for him, as Ward amply demonstrated.

Froch got dropped by a shot Taylor and unproven Groves.

I'll leave it to you to decide who the better two fighters are.

          Ducked? Arf.

I assume Froch has also ducked Paul Smith.

If Calzaghe had turned down Hopkins to fight the then unproven Froch he'd have been even more pilloried on here than already is.
April 2008. Mandatory for the WBC Title.

Calzaghe had already beaten Hopkins by then, actually.

                He definitely ducked Froch.

It was all over our boxing coverage, they were trying desperately to spark interest but Calzaghe wanted nothing to do with him.

Ah, so he was the mandatory for the 168 title Calzaghe had abdicated to move up to win the 175 belt and was about to retire?

To you he has but I can't agree. Joe never lost a fight and he beat Jones and Hopkins in the USA. Joe ruled 168 for a long time with many successful defenses.

Except he didn't "abdicate" the title did he.

He moved up in weight but he still held the WBC title at SMW. He didn't vacate it.

Froch was the madatory, Calzaghe turned the fight down. These are facts.

But nice attempt at re-writing history.
