Go watch tennis if you want refs to stop counting or stop picking up counts. They train for 8 weeks. Fighters deserve an 8 count. That's all fighters want.
What the fuck are you talking about now? You know what fighters deserve more then an 8 count? The right to live.

He got caught flush, dropped like a brick and the smart thing to do was to stay down until he felt able to get up, which he tried to do. Of course he wanted to go on, it was the biggest fight of his career but the ref didn't need a count to see where it was going.
I don't care what is done with the fighter afterwards. That has nothing to with the stoppage. The ref should've counted, that's all. That's all I'm saying. That's it.

Because he did what any competent ref should do, look at dude who's head just bounced off the canvas after getting hit with a monstrous shot, and saw a dude who was out.

He never started counting. so how could he have stopped?

So you didn't find that fight where those precious seconds that you are talking about was the difference between safety and brain damage huh? I know. I couldn't either.

I agree...who is this ref to decide what is right? That's why there is a procedure in place, you know? Who cares about the rules, there are 80K people here....."you're done, no count, take a break kid". Come on now, some people shouldn't be so naive.

You mean the guy who appeared to be on his feet before the count of 10?

                • I am not much for pointless gestures, and having watched plenty of fights end in knock outs I can say with great degree of certainty that the fight was decided in that moment no matter what the ref does after.

I'm not going to repeat myself. The ref is supposed to pick up the count after directing the fighter to a neutral corner. The ref should've did what Cortez did in the first fight with Pac...pick up the count. JMM laid back and put his head on the canvas and we thought he was done after that third k'd in the first round. What happened next? We go 3 more fights.

You're seriously thick. If those precious seconds saved a guy from brain damage, how would we know when he won't actually suffer the brain damage if those precious seconds spared him?

Jheez, you're as thick as Larry.
