Here's what I see,
Groves goes down
ref sends Froch to a corner
ref looks at Groves, while he(the ref) has both hands down on his knees
Where did you see the ref count?

Wouldn't that mean that if the ref had counted before waiving it off we would have seen whether Groves could get up?The result is not controversial. Groves lost Froch won. I just don't like ****ty reffing.
If the ref counted as groves was lying there all stiff and didn't get up all of you would be thrashing the ref for being incompetent.

I guess people missed Groves try to get up off the stool a full 2 minutes after the stoppage, stumble around fall into his team and have to be carried back to the stool, to which he received oxygen from the doctor, this went on for 5 minutes, and some of you actually think that by some kind of miracle had he reached his feet within his own weight he would have, A - been able to convince the ref to let him continue, and B - actually defend himself for the rest of the round.
I don't think so...the Pacquiao - Marquez comparison is ****ing ******ed as well, for many reasons that I will not list. The punch was a finisher, against a fighter who has a history of having a shaky chin and not the best recuperative powers. He's lucky if hasn't injured his knee tbh.

Groves' brain switched off. Consecutive concussions is what does longterm damage, that's well established. He was going to get up, and get rendered unconscious again immediately by Froch. That's not healthy... This is a sport, we want the competitors to have longevity where possible.

the hell. These refs are there to protect the fighter. Let's say groves did not wake up and the ref counted to 8 while groves lays there motionless. Everybody here would be furious with the ref. That was a good call by the ref.

He got caught flush, dropped like a brick and the smart thing to do was to stay down until he felt able to get up, which he tried to do. Of course he wanted to go on, it was the biggest fight of his career but the ref didn't need a count to see where it was going.
