If Fonfara can put Stevenson down Kovalev can put him to sleep.

Stevenson is the one running away. No one is scared of Stevenson.

WTF is up with all the "last night was confirmation that Stevenson isn't that great" posts? Everyone that's watched boxing for any amount of time knows that Stevenson is a hard punching, but limited guy that basically caught a champion (Dawson) at the perfect time. No disrespect to him. But he was basically a fringe super middleweight when he got the shot at Dawson, basically as a bounce back opponent. He's a good fighter and all. And he's shown improvement. But the notion that he is or was ever gonna be an elite talent is laughable. Why do you people think a freakin' sr citizen is chomping at the bit to fight him? And had Showtime and Haymon put a s h1tload of money behind him?

The best thing proven last night was that ******man IS beatable. Kov, BHop, Ward, GGG... any of them would beat him.
Bernard hopkins announced that stevenson was beatable when he said he wanted to fight him. Part of bernard's amazing late career success is finding flawed fighters with holes he can exploit to fight. (All fighters are flawed, but bernard is looking for specific flaws he can take advantage of). Bernard clearly sees something in him that makes him think he is ripe for the plucking. Note, bernard isn't keen to get in there with kovalev. Kovalev hits just as hard (but appears to have more power with his left than stevenson has with his right) and has a way deeper amateur background. He is a tougher nut technically to crack.

Superman had kryptonite in his pants...can't c him beating hopkins...all Fonfara needed in the 9th was another jab right hand & Adonis was gone...back when, Spinks & Foster would have ko' d him.

"I would easily beat Kovalev. That would be the easiest fight. That fight, for me, would be just as easy as beating Kelly Pavlik," said Hopkins. "That fight would be real easy. Less than easy. If not, easier — and don't forget to put that 'Er' on the end of that word — than the Kelly Pavlik fight. I'm telling you."

Yep. That's been obvious for a while now. The fact Hopkins is choosing Stevenson over Kovalev says it all.

Lol... Fonfara is ok, but has no special attribute. He really doesn't even have power but Adonis sure made it look like he did. All Fonfara had was some grit and the obvious gameplan of pushing Stevenson back, and it was almost enough to put Stevenson to sleep.
