Seriously, Cash Money has created a licensed sports agency to add to its portfolio of investment, and has begun representing athletes such as Mike Evans of the Tampa Bay Bucks. I think Baby would have help Manny on a few different levels, because say what you want, the guy has built a HipHop Dynasty over the last 20 years. I believe the Maywweather fight would have happen sooner for Manny, but in any case I believe it will still happen. I believe Manny may have put language in the contract which facilitates Manny the opportunity to offer Arum step aside money, because if it doesn't then Manny truly is not interested in a Floyd fight.

If its between guaranteed money or the unknown I'd always say take the guarantee. But man is it disappointing that PAC re-signed with arum. Not only did we miss out on the Mayweather fight, but Maidana, Broner, Guerrero, and others.

Unless they set Manny up with soft competition till the end of 2016, I cannot see Manny in the sport for that long. he is going downhill quickly and I can only see a couple more viable fights in him at most.

He should have went out on his own, leave more options for himself. He could still do business with Top Rank or whoever wanted to offer him the biggest money for a particular fight.

That is what Cotto did and he is getting pretty good paydays. He is also picking and choosing who he wants to fight, no matter what promotional banner they are a part of. Ignorant and illiterate people please read the article again, he signed 2 deals - 1 with Top Rank and 1 with Cash $ .... yes Arum did him wrong but his blind fans are hard to communicate with because of their lack of knowledge in the game uta Manny til the wheels fall off. I'm not convinced about Baby being a genius businessman. He's not bad, but he's overrated at the same time. He had fortune and a good team on his side, behind the scenes. So for instance, his incredible Cash Money deal with Universal, was not negotiated by Baby. It was negotiated by someone else (a chick who I don't feel like naming). She brokered the deal, and then later Cash Money stiffed her.

Pacquaio joining with Baby would've been a horrible idea. Pacquaio is already a megastar on his own right, worldwide. He doesn't need anyone at this point.

only thing i agree with this is cotto being able to choose who and when he wants to fight. but the money part, cotto is not even making anything close to what pac and floyd is. its hard to get that kinda guarantee purse that pac and floyd is getting.

think about what u said for one minute. yes arum is not a saint, but had pac went his own way or with someone else he would have never gotten to where he's at right now. hate arum or love him he plays a big part of manny's accomplishments.

Cotto is making very fine paychecks. Multi Million $ per fight. He is the only high level fighter in the sport who is capable of choosing who he wants to fight. He is a true free agent.

Some Say Mayweather is, but he isn't. Floyd could wake up today after some vivid dream and say he wants to go over to top rank again, but, he would not be able to. He is locked in. Manny is also locked in. Everyone except some lower level fighters are. And the lower level fighters are hoping to get locked in with a promoter.
