Why was Cash Money allowed to present a deal to him but not Golden Boy or some of the other promoters?

Why Pacquiao would rush to sign an extension with Arum makes no sense. The contract would still be there after the next fight. And if Pac wins, he could command more guarantees and bigger fights as a free agent. This is not the NBA where the current team has the most money to give the player. Pacquiao had no reason to sign an extension other than bad advice from people who have made inside agreements on their own to keep Pac at Top Rank. I believe that GBP would have outbid Top Rank just on speculation of being able to make the Mayweather fight and to a lesser extent possibly making a Canelo fight.

If the Marquez V fight falls through...Provo is not a big enough star...that fight would do at or below the numbers the Rios fight did. If Marquez V doesn't happen, this contract extension will look even worse than it already is. Top Rank is a fading company, and Pacquiao is the only loyal star on the roster. Bradley and Marquez have only signed to fight Pacquiao.

Oh well, better hope Marquez agrees to VADA testing, which I doubt, and fight Pac otherwise...Pacquiao will be making his guarantee and nothing more because he has no star opponents on that roster UNLESS Gamboa or Mikey Garcia move up in weight and those guys aren't even big stars either...and I would bet anything that ARum will not co-promote Pac fights with GBP unless it's Mayweather or Canelo...
