Manny is such an idiot for resigning... Cotto clearly laid the blueprint out on how to get a Floyd fight and still work with top rank...
Utterly idiotic to resign

Like it not Bob Arum made Manny. Manny was and is an excellent fighter. A lot of men can fight (I don't see Rigo losing), but only a few have the appeal to be superstars in the sport. Bob showcased Manny's appeal to the American public. Arum made us believe that Pac was as big as Floyd (he's not, numbers don't lie).
De la Hoya was a no brainer...won the Gold Medal, Mexican American with a pretty face, could fight like a mf'er... Pacquioa was not an automatic sell. Bob did one hell of a promotion job with Manny. Most people didn't even know who he was until the possibility of the Mayweather fight arose.
Pacquioa enjoyed the celebrity of an unbeaten fighter, an unbeatable fighter all because Arum stuffed him down our throats. The more you saw Manny, the more you got to know him. Once you got to know him, you couldn't help but like him. If it wasn't for Arum Manny would have never been this big. I'm not saying Manny owed Bob anything, because Bob made his money on the deal, but I see what Manny might see.
