    What are you expecting exactly? .How hard do you work out?.Do you even work out?...hes working out as hard as you would expect as anyone to work out much less a 39yrold with a supposedly crippled knee etc, I think people are taking Martinez's quote's out of context...., do you see him limping at all in that clip?, You see him squatting with weights etc,.Bear in mind thats a clip from 3wks ago with still 2/3 weeks of training to go.

        That's the reason I think Cotto has a chance . I read somewhere earlier that his knee is so bad that he doesn't run in training camp. If he re injures early in the fight it could be a long night for Sergio.

        Either way looking forward to this fight credit to both fighters.

          Sergio is just playing Cotto. If things are so bad, if he is in such piss-poor shape...how does he train for 8 hrs a day, 6 days a week? Exactly

                Sergio's problem isn't too many blows to the head, it's too much running. He is 39 and he played soccer before he did boxing. Soccer is BRUTAL on your knee's, that, on top of his very active footwork and it's a problem. It isn't just like joint pain, he's had 2 knee surgeries on the same knee it is definitely an issue.

                On top of the soccer he is saying he trains 8 hours a day 6 days a week? WTF, that's insane and bad for your body it's not working hard it's ******ity. Now, his body is breaking down from all that wear and tear and it appears to be fading quickly. Really it's just 1 fight from the Chavez bout where he looked fantastic, next fight he looked old and this can happen "overnight." I also think Sergio has enough intergrity to not hope on some JMM superbatspiderman pills.

                  this is martinez training in spain.




                  check out around 9 minutes into it, he talks about his knee.

                  he basically mixes it up with mountain biking and running. he's just taking care of his knee. but he does say it taking him longer to recover from work outs.

                  around 7:30 he is rubbing his knee, so who knows.

                      The thing that sticks out to me is him training 6 days a week 8 hours a day, you really can't do that without chemical assistance. You would be doing nothing but breaking down muscle tissue and be a drained zombie all of the time.
