no one will praise him for not fighting wlad.
we will be celebrating the fact that we can watch exciting HWT boxing on mainstream US tv again.Comment

Like I said, make everyone play by the same rules and it won't be an issue. So its ok with you that a paper title holder avoids a unification with the real champ, this is what you're saying. Its amusing how you're supporting the same thing youre criticizing. Its like saying "i dont support slavery, but other people are doing it so why not do it as well". Its ******ation 101. Almost as dumb as your "sterverne is an american argument".
What is Stiverne then? He's not Euro I'll tell you that. Otherwise Freedom would be singing his praises.Comment

Sad but true. Ill take a bit lesser skilled guys and exciting fights rather their watching Klitschoks fights. For the love of God and all things holy the WBC belt must be kept away from the Klitschkos.
Why?
ACTION! EXCITEMENT! RATINGS!
That's right, this weekend we actually saw an exciting HW title fight, between two evenly matched fighters and witnessed an action packed, exciting fight with the WBC title on the line. Kudos to Arreola and Stiverne for bringing it and fighting like they wanted to be a champion.
The Klitshckos have nothing but contempt for the sport and their fans. They see world title defences as a an extension of their business machine to build their empire and nothing more. They don't care about the fans. The fights are so awful to watch. K2 are happy to serve up a never-ending dirge of unentertaining, meaningless garbage fights against tomato can opponents. And then, if a worthy opponent finally manages to get a shot, Wlad will turn it into a wrestling match until he squeezes all the life out of his opponents legs. The Povekin fight was an embarrassment to boxing.
So, please WBC, stick to your guns and do not allow this belt to be unified.Comment

As much as I respect the brothers I think its kind of a good thing that the WBC belt is being contended by people not named Klitschko, for now anyway, let some hype get into this WBC strap and the potential fights for it.
Our HW division NEEDS people talking about it, if this is something that gets people interested, even a little bit, then let it be.
At the end of the day though, it doesn't mean much, there is only one man at HW and it's Wlad for the foreseeable future, but for now lets just appreciate the fact that our HW division has a slightly different slant too it and people are talking.Comment

So you're ok with people holding ****** because people in other parts of the world hold ****** right? You cant play both sides, its pretty simple, you either support it or you dont
Sterverne is hatian-canadian, he's not an American like you are trying to claim tho. I dont care what Freedom or other people think, i have my own mind, i can think for myselfComment

Dude, it's not an "anti-Klitschko rule". It's not even a "rule". It's my personal opinion, it's what I think would be best for the HW division. Wlad can do whatever the heck he wants to do. He can place himself above the rules, make Pulev wait even longer and snatch Wilder's mandatory shot. He is a powerful figure, he can get away with anything. But I don't have to like what he does.I believe I saw a statistic on this recently, comparing fights among top 10 contenders from different eras, and as I recall it, there was only an insignificant difference and this era was not the worst. Hence it's a myth.
Unless of course you have a statistic to back up your claim?
So you are endorsing a creation of a non-Klitschko belt. You do it to have more competitive fights. Is this a standard you'd like to have expanded to other divisions as well or is it strictly an anti-Klitschko standard?
Again does this apply to all? Everybody has to fight mandos rather than unify? Is that really what you want? Or is this also only a stipulation aimed at guys named Klitschko?
Do I think that honoring mandatories is more important than unification? No, not in general. Totally depends on the situation. But in this case, unification should wait.Comment
