Some fighter Pacquiao is refusing to fight Oscar or Cotto at their natural weight, or even a legitimate Jr MW at a legitimate weight for his "8th belt".

Has anyone else fought at a legit weight for their 8th title? Didn't think so, fighter of the decade runner up Floyd needs catch weights in only his 5th lol

Serously, Ray Leonard invented the catch-weight deal , when he Beat Donny Lalonde for the 168 and 175 pound titles . Ray may have weighed 164 or 165 for that fight.

I don't have a problem with it. If Pac can beat Martinez , who is probably a jr. middleweight anyway, then so be it. Martinez has advantages on all the midleweights because of hand and foot speed, However e wouldn't in this fight. That's why he moved up. He had speed advantages over the bigger middles like Macklin, Murray , and Pavlik. Would love to see Floyd-Maidana 2 and Pac -Martinez , with the winners to fight each other in May of 2015.

seriously? margarito is as big as Martinez. Martinez was just fighting up because of his speed adavantages over the bigger middles. He is probably a 154 pounder

1) If Cotto wins, Pacman challenges Cotto for the MW championship of the world.
2) If Sam Soliman beats Sturm again (overturned), then Pacman challenges Sam Soliman for a MW title. Then moves back down and vacates or hold onto it long enough for his next fight at WW so Arum can promote him as the WW and MW champion of the world.

There you go. Two WONDERFUL options from Arum for Pacman to capture another title in another weight class.

Pac isn't fighting soliman. He will fight Martinez after he beats Cotto in a tougher than expected fight for him. Cotto will have his moments and Martinez is getting a little long in the tooth. Plus this means that Pac will resign with Arum.

That makes it worse. Theres never been a 2x champ asking to unify at a cw. Thats Floyd admitting his presumed legit 5th divisional titles are indeed paper. Lineal, unified, 2x and reigning, thats a whale of a paper champ
