That's not just aimed at Manny, I hate seing this from fighters in general.
I agree. The whole idea makes me sick. No disrespect to Cotto, but I hope Sergio blasts him out so all this talk about Manny or Floyd being lineal middleweight champ is put to bed.

Didn't Pacquiao specifically say a few months ago he didn't want to go past 150?

Either way, if he fought a middle weight at a respectable weight that would be a great accomplishment, win or lose.

Martinez would be foolish to deplete himself in order to fight Pacquiao. Pacquiao would also be foolish to try to fight a full MW in Martinez. Pac still has some unfinished business in the WW division anyway. He should avenge his KO loss to Marquez. Marquez wanted to fight the winner of Bradley vs Pacquiao II, well here he is! Maybe Juan was sure that Bradley would win, so he could avenge his loss, win the belt, and ride off into the sunset as record holder. But the other guy won. Does this mean Marquez just says nevermind?

As long as its under 160, Martinez can defend against whoever. There's no rule says a challenger can't weigh under 154.

Some fighter Pacquiao is refusing to fight Oscar or Cotto at their natural weight, or even a legitimate Jr MW at a legitimate weight for his "8th belt".

This is exactly why we should all hope he loses to Martinez. Imagine, the lineal MW title being fought at a cw of 155 against guys like Pacquiao or Mayweather, all natural welterweights, meanwhile real MW's like Golovkin can't even get near a shot. Would be HORRIBLE for the sport.

This is why I hope Martinez wins as well.

I don't want Canelo, Mayweather nor Pacquiao winning any EASY Middleweight titles, they need to beat a legit MW.

Rather it be Martinez or Glovokin.

set it up. War cotto and maravilla. Hope Maravilla wins so this fight can go off in September or october.! Been wanting to see this fight for a while. Also probably means Manny is re-signing with Papa Bob.
