That's why we need to tone down all the "Cotto is so brave to take this fight!" stuff.

He could have fought Sergio years ago in his prime, when Sergio was calling him out. Instead Cotto waited until Sergio looked broken down and might be far enough gone to beat. Yeah, it's still an admirable risk but it's clearly a calculated one where Cotto has nothing to lose.

Cotto was having a hard enough time just getting his own career back on track after his losses to margarito and pacquiao then again to mayweather and trout, i fail to see how he "waited" when hes taken on nothing but excellent competition, i think the timing matched up well this time and for cotto martinez is a damn risk, im not seeing how its an issue that cotto took a calculated risk when hes fought nothing but risky fights during the latter half of his career when he didint have to.

This is what Im talking bout Pac is a fighter. I believe this dude started at 108 and hes challenging himself to go up yet another weight class. Unlike Floyd who is content in fighting guys coming up from 140.

Cotto doesn't seem like he wants a rematch.... and a Pac fight is one where'd he'd probably make the most money, and a better chance at winning.
