I know of a Wall Street CEO who was fired for putting his interest ahead of the company (trying to secure another CEO position with the nation's largest bank), and was replaced by the president.

Putting your interest ahead of company's interest effects the company's profitability. It's the same area.

The board members lost faith in his ability to lead, which in turn affected decision making and strategy execution. And as you said, impacted profitability.

        • Schaefer daring Oscar because he knows Oscar needs him and not the other way around. Oscar should really discuss his feelings with Schaefer in privacy, at some sort of informal meeting, because at the end of the day, he hired him to run the company.

Going against your CEO in the public just makes your company looks ***********al. I guess Oscar is feeling upstage and insecure, and wants to flex his muscle a little bit as he realizes Schaefer, more and more, is becoming the face of Golden Boy and he's fading in oblivion with his drug addiction.

            OK...

(I know what Illuminati really was, what is supposed to be nowadays, what ignorant people think it is, etc...)

The other term looked quite suspect to me...

            • [QUOTE=sdcluser;14464228]Just my opinion (share us yours):

The winners is probably some of the boxers being overpaid as these guys trying to sign them up without realizing the cost.

              Big loser:

              1) Fans - I don't need to go into this.

2 ) Showtime and HBO. So much for the large gain in subscriber of Showtime from boxing. LOL
HBO is probably thinking a better strategy would be producing shows like Games of Throne than putting losing operation like boxing

              3) Promotion companies - 1st casualty is gonna be GBP. Arum will probably be six feet under before this cold war ends. Haymon/Schaefer may (Big if) come out on top if someone else gets the shoulder the expense. Remember Schaefer/Haymon is effectively spending GBP $$. But if they continue to make ****ty fights and the revenue doesn't cover cost. They will lose too.

When there is war, not many make $$ until a clear winner emerges with cost contained.[/

Loaded question I'll try and give my best reply.

If Shaeffer teams up with Haymon / Espinoza / Mayweather as far as $ and power they all win. Boxing is a niche sport with only enough room for 1 or 2 boxers to be known to casuals and draw max $ similar to Shaun White in snowboarding, Tony Hawk skateboarding and Ussain Bolt in track you might know nothing about that sport but you recognize those names and they are the cash cows of their respective sport. And the way it's playing out Mayweather is the face of boxing and will continue to be after he's retired.

I disagree a bit on the fans being the biggest loser because yeah it's true that their matches that we want to be made that can't because of the rift but there's always been fights fans want to see that don't happen for a variety of reasons. but at the same time showtime and HBo have both been forced to put together decent main event cards to compete with each other. Last year personally was one of the best year in boxing I don't think it was a coincidence. This years not that great but in the next couple months it should be heating up.

This isn't me rooting against TR or HBO I'm a fan of boxing I just think theyre losing the power struggle.

Heck, maybe they were doing well before, and it's only recently that Scheafer started to make the company suck.

There's another major shareholder besides Hoya. He can't just do anything he wants willy nilly without their consent.
Not sure what that Amazon (a publicly traded company) has to do with this? They do make a profit, their model is to reinvest. Which is why this speculation (and that's all it is) regarding finances requires a longer look and less BS spreading.

One thing about Oscar mentally all it takes is to be in the wrong place where there's that white powder and he's a cooked Golden Goose. That powder weakens the brain cells and Richard knows he has Oscar right where he wants him. In and out of rehab. .......People hoping Richard gets fired are on some powerful stuff.........
