But it's also possible that Oscar is being emotional coming out of drug rehabilitation. Upon seeing how his company has gone on without him maybe he feels out of the loop and wants to exert some control again. Especially if this is something that has been building for a while.

I don't see that as being an unreasonable guess.
Do you trust a guy's judgement more when he's a drunk/druggie or while he's sober?

It depends how drunk and if he's trying to sell me something.

I don't recall him commenting too much on the topic, which is odd for B-Hop.
I don't recall Hopkins ever really saying anything about Arum, but I do recall Arum saying a few things about Hopkins. I think the last time Golden Boy and Top Rank truly worked together was Hopkins vs Pavlik wasn't it? Can't remember.

I'd be wary of trusting a ******* user at any time.

That's very possible. It's Oscar's baby and he has every right to have it conform to his vision.

That doesn't necessarily mean that the financials are bad though.

            • Schaefer has worn out his welcome and has ruined GBP by leaving it easy pickings at the hands of Al Haymon.

Might as well fire him and absorb the damage Richard has done. GBP has a lot of fighters willing to stay with more options on cross matching.

Sure Floyd and Adonis won't like it but fighters like Garcia and matthyse will have big options besides getting that one pay day with Floyd.

Ask the ghost how that's working out for him?

I think it's more likely to be something other than those two scenarios. Lots of gray areas here. I doubt very much investors questioning the numbers means that they want the CEO out, it usually means they want to figure out what's wrong with the company's model and outlook.

According to Schafer, the shareholders all have a say in what's done with profits. Of course every CEO says that but this is a private firm with few investors. A sacking of Schafer here would indicate much more issues than just financial problems.

                • It's rare to hear that a president could fire a CEO

Again....according to Schafer. Folks. The investors don't give a **** if oscar or **** are wearing fishnet or if they are ****ing each others wives or even hate each other. It's da benjamin. Investor is there to make $$$.

The companies finance is opaque. If the investors are getting excellent return, they could care less if either Schaefer or Oscar are snortin coke,

                      BOTTOMLINE: its da $$$$
