Interesting, so far the poll has been split equally between the two main options...interesting to hear more opinions in these comments!
Which group is more pathetic and ridiculous within boxing fans?

I agree. I read all the time that there is no reason for a Pacquiao-Mayweather fight because they already know who would win. Well they don't know until the two fighters actually fight. Of course Mayweather should be the favorite but to say Pacquiao has no chance to win is unrealistic. A fighter as good as Pacquiao always has a chance to beat any fighter in his weight class.Pretty much the same i would say but the worst ones are those who keeps hypothetically talking about one fighter can't win or will never win and then justify the ducking of their favorite boxer because they already analysed the other fighter will never win anyway...on paper or fantasy fight.Comment

Haters are not just content to hate, you have to hate also or there is a problem in their book. They can't let people have their opinion~Comment

True that. The thing is, fanboys can be said to make new rules up when debating their favourite fighters, but the haters often twist the truth too, bring up the same points to argue with (or simply insult with), have no thought out arguments and often try to simply insult the target, as opposed to the fanboys often trying to prove or boost a fighters' greatness.Comment

At least if you like a guy and you do that you are being positive, you may not be correct but most everything boxing related is opinion related so who is really to judge.True that. I find people who are being positive way more appealing, that doesn't mean everyone has to agree or can't talk some smack which keeps things fresh and interesting but constant harping on the negatives is like nails on a chalkboard to me.
I am a glass half full guy when it comes to boxing, but it does get very hard at times.Last edited by The Gambler1981; 04-21-2014, 02:54 PM.Comment

I think these 'fanboy' and 'hater' terms are however though, thrown around very loosely at times. Some fanboys I see, they can make educated arguments in terms of actually using facts or research...oftentimes it is misguided and false but you can debate and sometimes make them see some sense...or just allow them their opinion. But the haters, you just don't even want to bother arguing sometimes...although of course fanboys can piss you off too, some haters in particular just really ruin atmospheres...it's quite boring and pathetic more than anything else. As has been said, it really takes effort to hate, rather than admire or idolize. At least if you like a guy and you do that you are being positive, you may not be correct but most everything boxing related is opinion related so who is really to judge.

Yeah, this. At least have something interesting rather than the same regurgitated rubbish. The fanboys like to argue, the haters just love to insult and spew a lot of spam rubbish, or incite arguments. Sometimes, I wonder if they really believe the **** they say or they do that on purpose.Comment
