I find that with most fans, you can agree to disagree which is perfectly fine if you have a debate even a spirited one because not everyone is going to agree.I think these 'fanboy' and 'hater' terms are however though, thrown around very loosely at times. Some fanboys I see, they can make educated arguments in terms of actually using facts or research...oftentimes it is misguided and false but you can debate and sometimes make them see some sense...or just allow them their opinion. But the haters, you just don't even want to bother arguing sometimes...although of course fanboys can piss you off too, some haters in particular just really ruin atmospheres...it's quite boring and pathetic more than anything else. As has been said, it really takes effort to hate, rather than admire or idolize.
Haters really the only reason to talk to them is to stand up to them, because they are essentially bullies and you have to stand up to bullies every now and then. They are are first to judge people without even getting to the bottom of a person's point, they are just focused on the subject of that point.
Sometimes haters masquerade as fans of certain guys, it gives them some backup because those fans are not going to attack them for agreeing with their side, so you have to be careful to not count that sort as an actual fan.
I do like people to be honest with what they say though, having everything on the table in the open is better than people just sugar coating everything.Comment

The fanboys are pulling ahead - surprising! I guess this is because there is larger circulation of them on the whole with a lot of Floyd/Manny/Khan etc annoying the hell out of each other.Comment
