Son, one day when you make it to the pro ranks, and when you have family to take care of, and a mortgage to pay off. You will understand why safety and $$$ is important.
If I was the best, I'm not going to fight the other best for some cheap payday, my other opponent would be thinking to same.

A true boxing fan should want the best fights imo, I see too many posters on this forum saying that boxing is a business first so fighters should be trying to earn money instead of fighting the best fights out there.
Boxing is a combat sport, it isnt meant to be safe.

Don't let your frustration get the best of you, it has always and will always be this way.

The best should fight the best , end of story. The top 10 SHOULD matter, but it doesn't .. belts SHOULD matter but they don't. What we get are excuses, hype jobs , fan boys etc.. it's a brutal sport, but I've seen it get watered down over the years and fans should never tolerate it! Stop supporting excuses the fighters make and apply pressure on the promoters/fighters to give us the fights we want.
And that applies to ALL the fighters.. we're fans, not saints.

This is professional boxing. Once you see the word professional it means people are getting paid for it and making a living out of it.
When you see a boxer getting into the ring, he's often surrounded by many people. All those people are there for a reason but mostly they all want a piece of the pie. There are some you do not see behind the scenes who make these fights possible including TV companies and various sponsors. Those people are all stake holders and each has their own interest in the fight. What this means is that boxing is an industry and industries are mostly motivated by money.Every other need is secondary to that and of course various other aims come into play.
So to say safety and money are not important you only want to see good fights shows a clear lack of intellectual ability, childishness and naivety of the highest order. Why would the best fighter fight an equally good fighter if what motivated them (money) to turn professional is relegated to the lower echelons?

They will lay that tackle with no regard to their safety because that is what is expected of them in the sport.
And yes, they make their living off that sport but risk been put in a wheelchair every time they walk out on the field.
