40 million fair deal or a bad joke(debate)?

I am not asking him to do anything, him refusing a first offer is perfectly fine, now the offer was fair market value really based on what he makes but I can understand him wanting to do better.

If he make 40 million flat or he make 40 million off percentage they both spend the same. So I don't get the big hang up about a flat fee aside from the fact he could get screwed if the fight breaks records but that is a fixable issue because Floyd would obviously want Manny to help promote the fight and Manny would have no incentive without upside to do **** for the fight as his 40 would be set.

Now my issue would be what he did after that offer acting offended instead of trying to make it work because if Floyd is coming 40 million first offer there is more to be had especially on the back end if they actually worked at it. We will never know if a deal could have been worked out because they didn't even try at that point~

You're confused over how this works. If he fights on a TR card, he gets paid by Arum and there's no extra Arum tax. If he fights on another promoters card and Arum gets cut out, he has to get his. So for Pac it's a 12% raise over what he made in previous or next fight. That's not fair market value, that's a joke dude. You do that to ensure the fight is not made.

That said, Floyd has been back-peddling since 2009 and you know it. His offers are worse every time he speaks. Floyd didn't want to fight Manny.

I completely agree. That's the entire point, but you and people like you are too busy bashing Mayweather to pay attention to facts.

How in the hell do you expect something to get done through the media if they aren't actually talking to each other? Pacquiao's camp tells you exactly what you want to hear and you believe it, Mayweather says things clearly designed to piss you off and you believe it.

When you actually look at the FACTS - meaning everytime that the two sides have actually had direct comunications - Mayweather's camp has contacted Pacquiao's camp every time, and each time it was Pacquiao's camp that cut off communications. They walked away because Pacquiao didn't want to submit to blood testing the first time. The second time Mayweather's camp contacted Pacquiao's camp in good faith and Pacquiao's camp wouldn't even engage in talks because they wanted to pursue a Marquez fight instead. Then, Pacquiao walked away becausehe didn't think that 40 million dollars was a fair deal - He said 50/50 or nothing and hung up the phone, which has been confirmed by both sides.

Those are facts. Like you said - you cannot take what people say through the media seriously. Those are NOT negotiations, and to suggest otherwise is ignorant. You can continue to bash Mayweather all you want, but at the end of the day you can't run or hide from what the facts are.
