the thought of manny not getting a cut of the ppv is an absolute joke and anyone that argues it's merits is clearly a ****ing idiot.Comment

agreed. pacquiao would be a part of the draw without a doubt.
that said, floyd will bring more to the table, and should get more accordingly. i'd have to go through their numbers more thoroughly to decide what i'd think was a fair split.Comment

projections:
may vs pac 2014
ppv between 2.0-2.5 million buys
total revenue 130-160 million
pac guarantee 40 million
floyd guarantee 60 million
pac = 40 million/160 million = 25 %
pac = 40 million/130 million = 31%
40 million is quite fairComment

As the TS i would like to respond to the few Pacman supporters in here who made some points that in all honesty are worth mentioning/debating...
You're confused over how this works. If he fights on a TR card, he gets paid by Arum and there's no extra Arum tax. If he fights on another promoters card and Arum gets cut out, he has to get his. So for Pac it's a 12% raise over what he made in previous or next fight. That's not fair market value, that's a joke dude. You do that to ensure the fight is not made.
So to respond to your every offer has to be raised with 12% on top is kinda ridiculous this is not some golden rule or something sorry i dont agree with this. So if hypothetical FMJ offered manny a 100.000.000 cap. manny should still claim 12% on top just because he has to pay TR,managers, trainers etc??? nah man as far as i know this isn't the way. obvious he could say 40M was to low that is subjective tho'. David+skysports made a sortlike an agreement with Fury. And the deal was signed. so it isnt a tactic to make a fight not happen.
You're basically asking PAC to participate in the biggest fight on earth and pretty much take the same pay after paying TR promotions? You make it sound easy but in reality it's not. Floyd/Haymon is smart and they know that it is not a viable option to offer PAC a flat fee.....
When i look at these type of things i tend to look for history/precedents!!! How many fighters in the history of boxing were able to make 40M in one fight!!! better yet how many B-side fighters were offered 40M as their first offer to start the negotiations, better yet how many fighters in history turned down 40M first offer with no back end discussed yet in a single phone call/ a day. To get the record straight so many peeps have taken a subjectively bad deal. than they deserved to become as succesfull as they could be, there is no shame in taken less now to potentially become as succesfull as can be tomorrow!!! DR.Dre wasnt happy with his deal with Suge knight, but he did do it.
If manny who is loved and BELIEVED for all his actions and words would have beaten public enemy number one FMJ(exageration). He would be the cash cow and the Top Dog who could make flat fee offerings...
With that said Pacman would need 800.000 buys on top to make his 40.000.000. in total 2.800.000 buys. that is something that has never ever been done and a 100 dollar PPV i also cant remember. But ofcourse it would be possible. under the right circumstances
We'll yes, you're talking about local ppv money. You forget the international broadcasting rights, sight fee, sponsor money, etc, etc........
You're trying to make it seem like $40 mil to top rank is a viable option. Floyd is in the promotional business and he knew that PAC was talking to him in behalf on himself and toprank. You seemed well verse in ppv gross and the details of the boxing business but refuse to acknowledge that the $40 mil would not go 100% to pac because of his contractual obligations.
read all above i thank you for your time :-)Comment
