People seem to forget that the fl*mo's were saying that Floyd was "choosing to fight that way" or "Floyd just got old." The next two fights Floyd looks the same as he has always done, it wasn't that Floyd was old or fighting for the fans he was in against a QUALITY fighter for once in his career and he got tested.

I'm a huge Cotto fan and I favored Floyd in the first fight but I also said Cotto would give Floyd the hardest fight in his career and Floyd admitted that on camera. Could Cotto beat Floyd, yes absolutely, I still am doubtful it happens but given the options Floyd chooses like Khan, Maidana and any other crap fight, this is hands down the best option and one of the few I would pay for. Also I love how people just say Floyd will win a rematch because he makes adjustments... Yea, so does Cotto they are both very smart fighters. I saw someone say Floyd now has his dad in his corner... So Floyd gets better with a new trainer but Cotto can't? Fl*mo's are just scared Floyd will have a bloodied up face and look vulnerable again and they can't handle seeing that.
Oh stop it. Cotto won only two rounds.

I know. I love Cotto. By far my favorite fighter growing up . But he has nothing for Floyd.

Cotto gave Pac a ruptured ear drum and a ****ed up face. All he did against Floyd was give him a bloody nose. It wasn't a tough fight for Floyd. He almost dropped him in the 12th too if I remember correctly.

I gave Cotto 2 rounds that fight. 3 if you're being generous.

Lets say he won 3, now with is Dad in his corner, can you see him winning 4? Lol. If its for the MW title you guys are gonna be calling Cotto a cherry pick. + he's gonna get stopped by Martinez. If not you guys are gonna be so mad when floyd lifts the MW Title off his ass, but it will sell alot on ppv.

Miguel won't win a rematch. Besides, I don't want to see Floyd rematch anyone. I want to see him finally fight Manny, even if the fight should've been done three years ago.

Mayweather has precious few fights left in him. He's managed to hold back Father Time, but it'll catch up with him soon. Guys like Hopkins are incredibly rare. I'll bet anything Floyd isn't in his time-defying league. I'll also bet Mayweather is determined to go out with his zero intact. He'll pull the plug the moment he feels he's lost a step. That could be two or three fights from now. At Floyd's rate, that'll put him at age forty. Who else but hardcore Cotto fans want to see Mayweather squander another fight on him?

Cotto gave Mayweather a serious run for his money in May of 2012, but ultimately lost a twelve round unanimous decision. Mayweather called it the "toughest fight" of his career. At the time Cotto was trained by Cuban trainer Pedro Diaz, but last year the Puerto Rican star switched over to Roach.

Mayweather will go nowhere near that fight. Floyd was humbled after that fight. He was so friendly to Merchant and Lampley it was shocking. A rematch where Cotto has already seen what Floyd brings can make adjustments. Floyd may still a win a decision but he will take punishment in a rematch and it does not want that.

Yet another example of how Roach is the biggest egomaniac in boxing. Yet he gets a passa because he shakes and shivers.

Either way, reading between the lines of Roach's statements the last couple days. I think he wants Cotto to get a shot at Floyd before Manny to potenially soften him up. He let the cat outta the bag the other day revealing that Arum wants Floyd to be Pac's last opponent. Which has been obvious to everyone who's eyes are covered with Manny's ballsack the last 4-5yrs. And if Cotto can upset Martinez, he'll likely get his wish. Because the temptation to snatch the middleweight title against a guy that he's already beaten will likely be too great for Floyd to ignore.
