if you want to understand what boxing is, and how it works, you need to look at its administration. you don't need to identify with it, or approve of it, but you need to recognize what boxing is. that's what an adult does. the world is not perfect. we make the best of an imperfect situation every day.

some people are evidently OK with opening your mouth and just hoping that somebody will drop something tasty in there. that's what baby birds do.

i generally find that people who get "mad" with people who concern themselves with the administration of boxing aren't that bright or successful.

They couldn't force Stevenson to take the fight now.

I do know how boxing works and it won't be simple as we wish to be. Promotional companies' cold war etc. I think you took my point too far but the thing is people take it too far. E.g. This guy should fight him, should get paid this much and so on. I don't mind if I see it sometime but when it comes to backing up fighters such as Mayweather and Pacquiao, people go to extreme lengths. 50-50.. blah blah.

These fans are fans of a particular boxer, but not of the sport, they care more for the welfare of their favored boxer rather than a scintillating and risky match up. These fans often carry an one sided emotional attachment to the success of specific boxers. They want what is best for their beloved fighter, not what is best for the sport nor for the spectators.

"I just want to end poverty, violence and ****"

and do we not strive to achieve these goals?...or do we say **** it, because its too difficult?

Best fighting the best, thats the fundamental spirit of boxing, and its the essence of the definition of being a champion. and we should strive to uphold these ideals.

Everyone wants the best to fight the best but it's completely naïve to think that these fighters shouldn't take into account how much they will get paid. They're not all mindless brutes that just want to punch people.

we are boxing fans we suppose to long for good quality matches to happen not think about "good business match"
stop caring about how much fighters make we dont get any of it...

lets continue to support fearless fighters and despise the fearful
I know what you mean, I understand why they do it but I am not a promoter or a network exec and I don't care. I am a fan and I want the fights I want to see and don't care how they get it done or for their excuses why it doesn't get done.

They have a product, I am a potential consumer so.........what are we going to do here guys?
