You're moving goalposts, but I guess I should expect it debating a troll. Keep up good troll work though. It's generally good.

Come to the table with the right numbers for the Fonfara bout and a hard figure of what he would make afterwards for Kovalev. I believe this is what Showtime has done, offering him a healthier check for Fonfara as well as showing him what he could get for BHOP. It's simple really, you want to keep Stevenson, pay him what he asks for.

Yeah, there's a limit to what's reasonable and/or sensible from an HBO perspective.

They already got jobbed themselves forking out $3 million over the odds for Ward-Rodriguez (another Haymon fighter).

Don't overlook that Stevenson wants Hopkins, he's always calling him out. It's always mumbling excuses when Kovalev's name is brought up.

As boxing fans we all know the pattern.

I say match that shit if they need to. It's a fight that would be worth it, unlike Ward-Rodriguez. They've barely made any fights at all this first half of the year so surely they have a lot of money left in the budget. Might as well get rid of Ward for good too and save some money.

I don't think Showtime will offer more for Fonfara/Stevenson... but I think HBO only interested in the fight if Stevenson fights Kovalev afterwards

B-Hop just said he wants to become undisputed champion... Well, Adonis can take a good slap for a big purse... Then Grandpa could pass the belts to the next big star Andre Ward. Case closed.

you're ******ed if you put the blame on hbo...once stevenson signed with al haymon you should know he will eventually bring his act to showtime. hbo has no long term interests on stevenson so why would they spend so much money on him?

Hopkins is more likely to face Kovalev than Stevenson at this point, so lets just hope for the best.

Last I heard, HBO offered Stevenson 1 million to fight Kovalev. Open up those pockets, HBO.

showtime is becoming the ducking network. fighters go there to get worse ratings and fight easier opponents. why would hbo match the fonforra offer when stevenson has no intention of fighting kovalev? he's already fought cloud, bellew, and now fonforra. enough! when will the best fights happen? hbo is right in letting this guy go. you can't keep giving him easy fights. i don't remember stevenson asking for huge money to fight these guys. dumbass fans defending this coward.
