If HBO want Stevenson/Kovalev then pay for it. Why is this a debate?

For Showtime, 1 million is extremely good. Canelo has never passed a million on Showtime. Lets pretend he's not a draw. And the guys Hopkins fought recently have been no names, and he still did well.i notice his ratings went down when he went to showtime...how weird! also the pascal fights were in canada. pascal was the draw. the stevenson-kovalev fight would almost certainly be in canada so live attendance is not a problem. hbo gets better ratings than showtime so if they are going for ratings they failed.
Without Hopkins, Pascal had never sold out anything. Pascal's Dawson fight only had a 8,122 attendance. The only other time he sold out was with Bute obviously. And with Hopkins history in Canada beating up their champs, Hopkins as a b-side is obviously more attractive gatewise than Kovalev.Last edited by DoktorSleepless; 03-24-2014, 05:24 PM.Comment

well stevenson just did 1.3 million on hbo. going to a network where he gets less viewers is a good thing for sure. not many people go from the majors to the minors but in boxing its a good thing. For Showtime, 1 million is extremely good. Canelo has never passed a million on Showtime. Lets pretend he's not a draw.
