    fighting cloud for less=not ducking
    fighting bellew for less=not ducking
    fighting fonfarra for less=not ducking
not fighting kovalev for more=he's waiting for a future hypothetical matchup. not ducking
You should know by now that logics doesn't work in such cases.

Ask yourself a question, who needs who more? Does Kovalev need Stevenson, or does Stevenson need Kovalev? Clearly Stevenson is holding the right cards with Haymon on his side so he can demand the type of money needed to provide for him and his family. Now Kovalev is left holding his di#@ in his hand after he knocks out Agnew. Stevenson will fight fonfara, bhop, then cash out with Jean Pascal regardless of if he beats Hopkins or not.

Now he's going to run over to Shotime and get hugged out of his title by old B-Hop instead.
          Lol. This..

All aboard the SS Showtime! We'll cross the seas to a land called '**** the fans' where no Russians or Pinoys dwell.

This may be a Showtime plan to get the Stevenson-Kovalev fight in 2015. Stranger things have happened.
Why can't Stevenson tell Showtime he will sign with him but they must allow him to fight Kovalev first? Surely he has some bargaining power. No one has a gun to his head.

Haymon will kill boxing eventually. You could see the results already. Fighters all want to get Berto-type deals, then go on a long layoff. Look at all the dream fights that are not getting made. Star vs Bum types are easier to make. Fans are losing.

(I'm not even a HBO subscriber, my brother is, not because of boxing. I started my SHO subscription last year. Regular fights are extremely rare, I came to find out.)

Best post. All these "slick" fans of boxing, defending this move over wanting to see Kovalav and Stevenson fight....fcuking weirdos.
So many personal bankers sit on NSB. Where did all the fans go?

I had a feeling that Stevenson would move to Showtime once he signed with Al Haymon, it's clear that HBO doesn't want to deal with Golden Boy or Al Haymon. Maybe the rift is HBO with Richard Schaffer & Al Haymon, not Oscar.

Money being used as a scapegoat/easy out. If you're scared, say you're scared. Adonis wants no part of kovalev
