Wards win over Kessler was horrible. The headbutts were ridiculous in that fight. He basically stopped him via headbutts.

I would also add that Dawson beat BH so is greater than Ward and Floyd. BH is greater than Ward and Floyd.

However Ward beat Dawson so is greater than Ward. Dawson is greater than Ward.

So Ward is greater than Ward. When you're greater than yourself, you know youre great.

prime joe was a beast. he certainly didn't slap. that's a myth.

I think Ward is p4p way better than FLoyd. And even more accomplished, too.

First off, he's in his prime, while Floyd isn't. And, Ward can **** on the inside too, while Floyd can defend himself on the inside, Floyd is NOT an inside fighter.

Ward is legitimately and outside and inside fighter, he beat the eff out of Froch on the inside. Ward is also far more active and still Kos ppl.

Rigo, I would probably rate as number 1 or after 2 after Ward, it's a toss up between the two. Rigo is also unbelievably good. I think they are the only two fighter right now that are pretty much unbeatable. Anyone else, loses if they have the right, or wrong, from their point of view, opponent.

Floyd was a great inside fighter in the lower weight. But he's not fighting in the inside anymore because hes fighthing much bigger guys. If ward was fighting guys 2 division ahead I can guarantee you he would stay on the outside.

Unlike Calzaghe, Ward didn't need the ref to step in the fights to score faux wins when his opponents were suitable to continue fighting.

Joe had many fights where the refs were 100% on his side and prematurely stopped fights...very blatantly after a weak punch.

Yes, Ward rushed in with his head and created clashes, but you have to ask yourself why the hell Kessler didn't adjust or keep Ward on the outside of his jab? These clashes were not deliberate headbutts (ala Maidana/Broner), but a result of Ward quickly closing the distance from range to inside. Kessler should have stayed on the outside as opposed to mid-range since Ward didn't care if this did creat head clashes.

Calzaghe's greatest win is against Hopkins-a guy who has went on to continue winning, but is not young. This same guy in Hopkins said he would NEVER fight Ward!

Ward could probably ko all of Joe's SMW title defences-he had a "who's who of WHO's THAT" on his resume while making those defences. Honestly, any half decent fighter could tread on Joe's title defences...absolutely vile.

Joe beat a much fresher Kessler. I can understand why Kessler would feel that way. Not like it's blasphemy to think Joe Calzaghe is better than Andre Ward.

I think Ward would pull out a decision in that fight, myself.

It's irrelevant at this point. What is relevant is proper context and not revisionist history. And what is the context?

The context is at what point of Ward's career the fight against Kessler took place. Kessler wasn't his career defining victory. The Kessler win was just the beginning of his career. Remember, that he and Dirrell at that time were the two noobs in the tournament and everyone was predicting a Kessler/Arthur Abraham/Carl Froch showdown. And Ward beat all three of them.

And he still has years left to go.
