Kessler tells who's greater. Calzaghe or Ward.

i don't agree with your assements of any of these fights but even if calzaghe did beat a better version of kessler that doesn't mean kessler is a better overall fighter than froch. you seem to be using some sort of head to head triangle logic. jermain taylor "beat" a more prime version of hopkins and easier than calzaghe therefore taylor is better than calzaghe? i don't get it. when comparing fighters you have to look at their entire careers not just how they did against 1 opponent.
That's a good example you've used there.Comment

I rate Calzaghe very highly. He was nightmare to deal with in the ring. Awkward Southpaw with amazing stamina and threw thousands of punches with speed. His ring generalship was also top notch.
Would have been sick to watch Ward-Calzaghe back then. Joe out of all the SMW today and back then would have been a serious threat to ward.Comment

Kessler is obviously still butthurt over getting whipped by Andre. He's not exactly an objective source.Comment

who didnt see that coming?
not saying he is wrong (even though i do think so) but he is obviously way too biased to be taken seriously. he just couldnt get over losing to ward and has been bitter and resentful towards him ever since. dont pretend it isnt true..Comment

Should have added dots before the tweet so it would force people to click on the thread instead of hovering.
I would have loved to see a Joe-Andre Ward bout. Or imagine Joe in the super six. SHEEEESHComment

Joe had hand troubles in the later end of his career, when he was still in his prime. And I think that's the reason for the slapping, but had his hands been ok in the latter end, I think he would have beaten ward for sure.Comment
