I'm not buying this fight.I've ready seen Floyd fight flat footed pressure fighters.He knows this is an easy fight.Easy 12 rounds of pot shots.Floyd should of done what Cotto is doing and challenged Martinez. Keeping money in my pocket.Hope his next fight is better.

It's strange, I would think the truth should be evident. You can't judge strength with an eye test. Anybody that regularly participates in sports like basketball, boxing and football should have plenty of examples of people that "looked" strong or weak that surprised you with their resistance.

You absolutely HAVE to experience it.

And clinching can come down to technique even when there is a strength difference. Ideally, Mayweather likes to wrap his opponents up by trapping their arms from the outside and up under the armpit/ bicep area. To even get one arm free, you have to pretty much rip yourself away.

That's when he angles his body to tighten his hold on the other arm and starts throwing punches with his free hand, which is most often his right hand while only his opponent's left hand is free.

I think Ariza is going to have Maidana stronger than that Alexander fight but he can't make him craftier so, stronger or not, the gameplan won't change.

Let's re frame the question. Currently the argument is floyd vs broner, who is stronger?

How about these questions:

Who is stronger, broner or canelo?

Who is stronger, broner.or oscar delahoya?

Who is stronger, broner or sugar shane?

strength is a great attribute in boxing but you still need to know how to apply it. Floyd handled these guys strength. In the same situation would broner?

Also consider it's easy to be strong when you have energy, what happens when maidana tires and floyd doesn't? Who will be the stronger of the two then?

Only one person has said it in this thread, but Maidana has basically trolled all of you. He's challenging Mayweather to show his strength.

guys need to understand Mayweather is a guy that out mentals people.. not overpowers them. He's like a hypnotist with fists... so to speak. The reason he can contend with guys bigger than him is he always ALWAYS wins the mental game. He discourages fighters, demoralizes them.. and takes their spirit from them. Maidana is very mentally strong.. coming in in the shape of his life. He has a right to not give Mayweather too much respect. He has learned from dishonorable tactics used on him before. I really admire Floyd for taking this fight its a very tough fight.

of course.. some people have Mayweather so far up their ass, you can see the shine of his bald skull in thry nostrils...
