Comments Thread For: Marcos Maidana: Broner is Stronger Than Mayweather

Personally, I see Mayweather beating Maidana, but the fight does have more intrigue than any fight Mayweather has had since taking on Cotto.
Unlike most of Mayweather's opponent's, Maidana is not likely to be discouraged from pressuring him. And, if their is any chance of beating Mayweather, it's with pressure.
I mean, for one thing, to beat Mayweather, you have to knock his ass out, because you won't get a decision no matter how lopsided the fight is in your favor.
With that, pressure is obviously the key, as is a consistently high punch volume.
Maidana brings both elements to the table. Not saying he'll win, but he has a better chance than most Mayweather opponents. And, in the very least, he'll make it interesting.
I know I'm buying, assuming their is a reasonably decent undercard.Last edited by hitman smax; 03-23-2014, 03:47 PM.

For example Broner could not clinch up Maidana and every time he tried Maidana just pulled away like he was pulling his hands out of a sink full of water, against Floyd I reckon he wouldn't be pulling out from his clinches so easily.
Which would be functional boxing strength that I was talking about~

News flash for some...Mayweather did not pick this fight because he thought it would be easy but he knows Maidana will do exactly as he say's and pressure him relentless which will equal a Knockout(TKO) for Floyd. That doesn't mean it won't be tough fight...it will be more entertaining that some might believe

He's right madaina . Most fighter don't bother going after mayqeqthers enough because they are scared of looking daft in front if a crowd coz he can make u miss but this is the mistake. To beat Floyd ur gonna have to look silly missing shots but staying on him and going for him fully committed. Floyd doesn't hit hard and this is why khan thought he has a chance. A good fighter will beat Floyd if he swallows his ego/ pride and go after him

I don't get why people think Maidanas wrong here
Its obvious that Broner is stronger than Floyd just by looking at his chest, shoulder and biceps muscles. I use to think he used roids. Punching power isn't even close
And the the only reason why Floyd looks strong in clinches is because he uses his forearm/elbow to control the head of his opponent and push it back. Everyone would outmuscle Floyd in a clinch if he wasn't allowed to do that (which is illegal in the first place but the refs let him get away with it due to Al Haymon)
