No, Al Haymon had the judges already paid off. Danny was going to win before the first round even started.

Just rewatched the fight.... Danny aint get whooped but I still think he lost. I agree that Danny could have done better too. Angel is just doing what any trainer would do in his position.

It is true that Al Haymon is able to arrange judging that favor his boxers anywhere. The only difference I would expect is that if this fight was in other place outside NY, Philadelphia or P. Rico, you probably would see some of the public protesting the bad decision. Garcia lost, he was booed during the fight but at the end practically all the crowd cheered the bogus victory and I believe is mainly do to the fact that P. Rico doesn't have now any champions born in the island. They needed badly the false win and you can see it here where most of the posters denying Herrera's victory have root on the island. There are few honest posters but a good number of them have become cynical in the name of a false nationalism. This should be more a matter of justice and integrity than pseudo patriotism.

Danny should of slugged it out with Herrera, that would of been his best move. He was too hesitant for a guy that was the physically stronger fighter.

No draw, I'll score it for Danny. His power punches sealed the deal. I absolutely think it was his worst outing and that its time for a world class trainer. Herrera boxed well but I agree that he didn't beat Danny. Every round was close with the exception of 11 (Garcia) and 12 (Herrera). Neither fighter definitively won the other rounds and id give the close rounds to the champ in or out of Puerto Rico.

I agree with your theory...my only issue is that most of these so called power punches didn't really land. I thought Herrera won by a few points directly after the fight, but had no issue with the decision..however, after watching the fight again...most of Garcia's so called moments were grazing shots with no effect.

He landed some...but not enough of offset with Hererra did...which was totally dictate the pace and all but shut Danny's offense down.

Instead of doing all that tough guy macho crap that did'nt impress the judges. Herrera should've been tagging Garcia more. You have to clearly beat the champ.

Puerto Rico is not his home country and didn't Danny throw the first illegal punch... in fact Danny throws low blows all his fights ,but Angel doesn't see this. Another reason his father doesn't want him at 147 because he wouldn't be champion and he'll have to start the dream all over again.

They're campaigning for PR to adopt him...stop it di*khead. & no. Danny did not throw low blows all night. But Hererra did throw his head int danny's & grab him & hit & hold through out the night. (which I actually have no problem w/) Thse are veteran moves & he roughed up & made danny uncomfortable. But in no way when u don't shut the favorite out or hurt him or embarrass him r beat him up...ur not winning that decision. Hell The Chavez fight was a bigger injustice than this...pac vs bradley..the list can go on for days. This is just another bit of home cooking in a non-major event. Not a big deal like people wanna make it. Danny has to learn how to do wut Ward does & just switch up styles wen the game plan isn't working. He should've began to bully & push hererra around....make him uncomfortable...instead of waiting. Learning experience frm a crafty vet fighter.

He was hitting Hererra on the top & side of the head all night. Nobody is saying all power punches landed cleanly. But quite a bit landed to the head. I mean Hererra was cut & eye swollen from early on in the fight...wh did that...ref? His corner had to assure him the eye was ok all night. The way u make it seem...hererra walked out looking the same way he walked in. That's not the case.
