they do not. I've never heard anyone seriously put Tyson in the top 5-8 heavyweights. I don't think you can make a case for Tyson being top 10 heavyweights, and Duran is easily among the best Lightweights. That's a whole different ballpark, saying people think Tyson was one of the greatest. Nobody believes that. -
you put that in os the majority of ppl, boxing fans or not, believe tyson is the greatest HEOriginally posted by DiegoFuegoI think the majority of people, boxing fans or not, view Duran as the worst of the Fabulous Four.Comment

dude, my uncles and their friends all agree Hagler > Leonard > Hearns > DuranOriginally posted by wmuteyou put that in os the majority of ppl, boxing fans or not, believe tyson is the greatest HE
but not one of them thinks Tyson was one of the best heavyweights ever. they are all CASUAL boxing fans at best. they know the names and that's it.Comment

Hagler is my favorite fighter, ever. I still don't believe that he's as great as Duran....lb4lb.Comment

my arguments are pretty consistent, i will give you a synopsis:Originally posted by JoartCCWhy do you keep asking me about my top 10. How about yours? What's the point of your question?
Duran doesn't belong in there.
Please be more consistent with your arguments.
you say:
duran is not top10 p4p because he is not xyz
my answer:
well find me someone (10 fighters in particular) who are xyz
if you cannot find them, your claim that duran is not top 10p4p because he is not xyz, does not hold even from a logical point of viewComment

What do you consider more impressive on Hagler's resume.....Originally posted by Gunstar1Not many have better resume then Hagler.
The big names he beat towards the end of his career....or the lesser known, but bad-ass, middles from the 70's ?Comment

moreover duran's fights in his prime were not televised and hyped like the ones in the 80s, so it's quite obvious that if you have seen fight only the 4 of them you have that ranking (or leonard on top... GRRRR)Comment

Both are impressive. He stopped the 4 people that he lost to or had a draw with. He stopped all four guys, with the exception of Leonard. Which I think Hagler won it by a point.Originally posted by jabsRstiffWhat do you consider more impressive on Hagler's resume.....

I still haven't seen another Hagler, the man was unreal, never been hurt in his life, 60+ wins. He kept his great chin forever, not like some others I can name.Comment
