Do you think Duran top 10 P4P list???

Roberto Duran is known to be the greatest lightweight of all time by most people from the press, but the problem I have with this is Duran didn't beat many great fighters as a lightweight to be considered the greatest lightweight of all time. Shane Mosley was very similar to Duran he was also beating everyone at lightweight, also Mosley beat many C+ fighters as lightweight.

These are the biggest fights from Duran's legendary career. He has a few more, but to me these are the biggest fights.

Hagler - It was not even close in my book, I here some people say that this fight was close, I own the fight, I had Hagler winning clearly.

Leonard - Fought Leonard 3 times, lost twice. Also some people believe that he lost all 3 fights against Leonard.

Hearns - Lost by KO - Never fought Hearns again

Benitez- Lost - Never fought Benitez again

De Jesus - lost the first fight in the lightweights, but won the other 2 against De Jesus

Yes was a Duran great fighter, but to top 10 P4P is pushing it.

I am not sure about top 10, but certainly top 20 and maybe top 15. I also have the fight against Hagler and thought it was close; I scored 144-141 Hagler. Ben�tez really outclassed Dur�n.
Anyway, I think you need to mention more of his important fights. Here's a list:

Palomino at 147
Cuevas at 154
Moore at 154
Barkley at 160

I did mentioned the most important fights in his career, I said a few I left out. I scored the Barkley fight a draw at that time, but I haven't seen it in a long time, so I don't know how will I score the fight now.

When you consider all time, people forget that we had many great fighter from different weight classes. When I say he belong in top 30, that's not saying Duran was not good. Top 10 or 15? I just can't do it, too many great fighters should be ahead of Duran.

Ken Buchanan (one of englands best fighters...top 20 all-time lightweight)

Ernesto Marcel (owns a win over Alexis Arguello)

Jorge Castro (tough as nails...has been fighting forever...recently beat someone of note but i forget who)

I think Duran is top 10 material EASY. He has won fights from 118 all the way up to 175. His performances against Hagler and Barkley alone show the kind of fighter he was.

I think that what makes Dur�n great, is the fact that he went to much higher weights and remained world class. I think Castro beat Derrick Harmon, although I am not sure. Castro is a tough guy who has been in the ring with some of the best fighters of the last decade. Castro squared off against Roy Jones and Jirov.

You see Duran was getting bigger by age, he's over 200 pounds now. He always at a problem with weight, I think it was very easy for Duran to move up in weight. It would've been harder for Duran to stay at 135, then moving up.
