Lara would be a tough fight for Canelo he wont be able to just land at will like he did with Angulo because Lara wont be a stationary target. He looks half the fighter when he has to go in pursuit of the opponent and I doubt he would be willing to open up on Lara as freely because Lara has some serious pop in that straight left hand.

As far as Angulo, I suppose we'll agree to disagree, because we're on opposite sides of the spectrum
Fair enough. I do still suggest you re watch the fight objectively and honestly tell me Angulo didn't throw pitty pat punches rounds 1-7.

I didn't watch the fight, so I'll reserve judgement. But the notion that this fight was fixed doesn't make sense. It seems got Angulo took quite a beating. If you're gonna throw a fight, you don't do it by taking a beating from a hard punching, strong guy like Nelo. Seems like he would have go down and gotten counted at at the first opportunity.

Interviewer:"So, Perro? How's it feel to be separated at birth from your little brother, Bam Bam Rios?"

Angulo:"Who's Rios? Oh, that punching bag, Rios? Ese cabrón learned everything he knows from me. Next question."

There is your answer, straight from his mouth. He was getting hurt from the opening bell.
Dude so from opening bell he decided he wouldn't throw any punches with intent behind him? None of his shots had intention except a few at the end, Dude. Lol

                  Angulo looked lost in there
but he at least coulda gone on to the end
surprised the ref pulled the plug on him
if all he could do was show his toughness, fuck it, let him
anyway, Alvarez needed a showing like that after blowing weight
now get that big ass to MW and do something

Angulo hit Canelo 10 times harder than Floyd did. He hit Canelo as hard as he hit Lara, to the body and even and few to the jaw. It is just that that same punch hurt and dropped Lara. If it didn't it would have looked the same as against Canelo.

Canelo's hand speed is so much greater and his punches land with a kind of explosion whereas Angulo's punches are slower. In contrast, Angulo doesn't seem to be punching as hard, but he punched just the same as he always does.

Sure, Canelo was winning, but he was fading a bit in the stretch and getting backed up much of the last few rounds. And despite what the Canelo lovers say, Angulo was coming on. Canelo is too small to fight at this weight. His best punches weren't enough to stop the bigger Angulo. Classic little man goes up in weight and doesn't take his power with him. Besides which his so-called "boxing skills" never impressed me much. His game is to stand around to get the right distance for his short arms, which is exactly how he fought Mayweather last time. Mayweather would have knocked him out this time around, as Canelo has no ability to change strategies or adjust.
