lmaol but angulo is taller and angulo weighed 174 vs canelo 170 but yeah ask angulo he will say canelo was bigger as he said at the end of the fight that he had him in the last 2 rounds.

fighting at 174 is not a natural weight for Angulo. He did that because he knew Canelo would be big. Broner did the same thing coming in at 156 for Maidana. being insecure. Both would have been served better coming in lighter.

I've always liked Canelo and thought he was a decent fighter but ultimately thought he was more hype than substance. He looked dazzling against smaller guys and low level opposition but I didn't think he could do it against guys his size and guy who can punch. Then I figured my su****ion was confirmed after a lackluster win against Trout and being taken to school by Floyd; I have to say though he more than impressed me tonight. He threw better combinations than I thought he was ever capable of and his defense looked extremely good. He seemed to have a much easier time with Angulo than Lara did and I was almost certain it would be the other way around. Lara is a mover and a boxer and I thought Canelo did a way better job of staying on the outside than Erislandy did. I expected this to be a much closer fight but after 1 or 2 rounds it was clear that Canelo was on a different level. After tonight I have to say he is at the top of the division, its him and Lara at the top (and Floyd obviously if you consider him a jr middleweight). Also I think he holds his own with anyone at 160. Truly a great performance

Who cares about Weeks. Why talk about the stoppage??? Talk about the extremely odd effort Angulo put out there... Pitty pat punches from the get go. Not the guy who put the highly regarded Lara on his a$$ twice. Many of these replies scream "I work in the boxing industry and need to protect the credability of this fight". C'mon, lol.

Something doesn't smell right. I have never seen Angulo throw pity pat punches like he did tonight , he had nothing behind his punches , it just wasn't normal for a guy that rips thunderous punches . I hope he got paid well behind the scenes not to hurt Cinnamon.

lmaol so canelo vs floyd was fixed because canelo din't look like canelo vs floyd. Or just how people said canelo looked like that because floyd was masterful can't be same the same about canelo?

If you knew about boxing you would know that canelo pressed angulo made him fight backwards and started hurting him since the opening bell. Did lara do that?? no because lara fights going backwards and angulo fights going forward reason why angulo had so much success against lara. but know it was a fixed fight lol

I know plenty about boxing sir, and I have 2 eyes. From the bell of the first round Angulo was throwing pitty pat punches. They were landing, wasn't like Canelo was doing a masterful defense to block them..He didn't need too bc Angulo didn't commit to any of his punches until the last couple rds, and even then it was few and far between. Virtually every punch Perro threw was pulled. Not saying Canelo didn't touch him up, I figured he would.. But I also call it how I see it. Angulo wasn't really there to fight

Good post. Well, the drained Canelo part at least. Floyd has no balls and the weigh-in yesterday proved what I said all along. Floyd would've probably won anyway BUT Canelo is the real deal and he's improved on his flaws, which were stamina and punch output. If he fights Floyd again, He most likely stops him. This is exactly how he should've fought Floyd and I bet you he knows that now. Good win tonight and Lara is next. Everyone seems to over-rate him as well. Canelo is a better fighter and is going to KO him.

Now the fight was a shame they say. So I guess those bruises and cuts on Angulo's face was just make-up Virgil was applying in the corner.

I guess I can't complain about the stoppage but damn. Did Angulo have somebody threaten his family or something? He looked slow, tentative, and overall just sluggish. Did someone poison his water bottles? He looked horrible. I've never been a Canelo fan but I have to admit that he did his job. He was compact, fast and accurate with his punches. But what the hell happened to Angulo?

My thoughts exactly, perro looked like he didn't want to fight or hurt canelo, pulling punches, just pawing very slowly with no real intent, I don't think he tried a real hard punch all fight. Very "fixed looking" to me.
