The reason Angulo was throwing pity pat punches, was, if you watch the first round, Canelo put 4 or 5 real hard shots to the body. You could actually see the energy sap away from his body, They affected Him greatly. That is why He did not start throwing harder until later in the fight. but by that time it was too late. This fight was not fixed. Canelo essentially ended it in the first minute with body shots.Comment

Seemed like the fix was in. Honestly anybody that witnessed the first round I'd like you to school me on what he (Angulo) was doing. Good stoppage as well getting that ass tapped for 10 rounds straight.

Of course. Lara now has to fight Ishe Smith because he has no other choise to fight loosers since no genuine fighter like Canelo or Golovkin wants to fight him. But Canelo has choises and delivery is choosing old guys, the loosers and so on. Thants the difference, the possibility to make choises. Lara does not have it and is looking for a good fight. Canelo has choises and he is looking for a looser for him to shineComment

lara can only fights who takes him on, nobody wants to fight him cus hes high risk/low reward. do you know what high risk means?

Great performance by Canelo but a shaky stoppage. I do think Angulo was starting to put good work in. That is because I noticeably saw Canelo start getting tired. Angulo couldn't hurt Canelo so I don't think he would of won regardless. Now for who's next Lara most likely. To me Canelo is too big for 54. I would like him to fight Kid Chocolate at 60 in July then the winner of Cotto/Martinez in November. If he can get down to 54 with no problems I do wanna see him tax up Lara.Comment

Canelo was like a bat out of hell in the first round. He was throwing power shots from the jump and countering nearly every punch Angulo threw. That's what caused Angulo to be gun-shy, he was getting visibly stunned and not reacting intelligently. Regardless of whether or not it was 'fixed', Virgil Hunter was already contemplating on stopping the fight.
Even though Angulo was beginning to find success in the late rounds, it wouldn't have been enough to earn him the victory. He would have taken an unnecessary amount of damage to reach the final bell and preserve his pride, but at the expense of his well-being. Personal health is often clouded in the heat of battle, that's why there are refs involved to ensure the longevity of both competitors.Comment
