All the decent fighters at super middle are tied up really. They are not excuses my friend just facts and another one for you is just because G. is older and had a distinguished amateur career really only means a good apprenticeship in pro. terms. Ward really has done all's that can be done at S.M. and has the size, strength and ability to make a lot of noise at L.H. and will properly earn more money as well.

That is what I am getting at also. Yes GGG is hypocritical, but so is Ward and his people. Dawson, and Kovalev are both undeserving to fight him according to Ward, but Chavez jr and Golovkin are. Rodriguez was also apparently.I'm sure Dawson would prefer full 175 or a cw. Gary Shaw said they asked for one and were rebuffed. And for Ward, he'd have that second lineal title which is no joke. That said I don't blame him for exercising his leverage, but once again hypocritical as **** when discounting PACs Dlh win recently. Unlike Ward vs Dawson Pac moved up 2 divisions, after only 1 fight at LW. And unlike 4-1 favorite Ward, Pac was the underdog.
Here's one Stevenson link
Newly-minted WBC light-heavyweight champ Adonis Stevenson wants a piece of undefeated American Andre Ward, but the feeling isn’t mutual.
These guys should just shut their mouths, every time they talk they come out looking like a$$es. Remember Ward gushing about Chavez on HBO recently?
At least GGG has a small hope of getting in the ring with Martinez this year. Ward sits around at 168 with nothing on the horizon.Comment

I have long sense said I would like to see Ward move up. He won the Olympic gold medal at light heayweight (173.) He can handle it. That said, at least he's consistant. His position is that at 168, anybody can get it. Is it frustrating that he's being headstrong about staying at 68. That said, he's not nearly as frustrating as GGG. Who's older than Ward. Fought in the same Olympics as Ward. Has been a pro nearly as long as Ward. Who's best win is Matthew Macklin. And who is constantly contradicting himself. He b1tches nobody will fight him. Claims he's the most feared. Claims he'll fight anybody from 54-68. And has no intentions of doing so.It is all about Risk vs Reward for them. Why people are holding GGG and Ward on high pedestals I have no idea. Yes GGG is willing to fight Chavez at 168. If Chavez could not fight at 168 and said he was moving to 175, Ward would be right there suddenly saying he would move up fight him at 175.
If anything Ward needs to move up more than GGG does right now. Ward basically has no more options at 168. Golovkin is not in a much better position, as only the fringe contender guys in his division are willing to fight him for a decent paycheck.Comment

So just to be clear, you're saying a fight with Sturm would be a bigger fight than against the #2 p4p fight with Ward? I hope your not one of the guys in here that torch Mayweather for "cherrypicking" and not fighting "the best" lol. I mean when was the last televised Sturm fight? And im mean international, ppv status?
In Germany that would be a huge fight for him. PPV's aside, German fighters get paid handsomely for their fights.
Stielglitz for example got paid 2.3 million dollars in his loss to Abraham.
Not to mention their arenas always have a lot of fans.
So in monetary terms yes Sturm would be a more lucrative fight than Ward.Comment

all this ducking talk really doesn't matter does it? the good thing is that ward isn't fighting. lets see what would happen if he fought stevenson...stevenson tries to hit ward with a left hand and ward clinches. what would happen if he fought kovalev? kovalev tries to hit ward with a right hand and ward jumps into him with his shoulder. what would happen if he fought golovking? golovking tries to hit ward with a right hand and ward headbutts him and knocks him out cold. and still!Comment

Provide a link where Ward says he'll go to 75 for anybody or STFU.
As for going to 160 for Floyd, who wouldn't? Not only is Floyd the biggest lottery ticket in boxing. He also the unquestioned best fighter in the sport. He has the credentials to dictate to a guy like Ward. When your best win is Matthew Macklin. You don't dictate **** the the unquestioned #2 fighter in the sport.
On Saturday night in Carson, California, WBA super middleweight champion Andre Ward (24-0, 13 KOs) dominated Arthur Abraham (32-3, 26 KOs) to advance to the finals of the Super Six Boxing Classic. He waits for the winner of the upcoming Super Six semi-final bout between Carl Froch with Glen Johnson, scheduled for June 4 in Atlantic City. Beyond the Super Six, Ward would like to face undefeated IBF champion Lucian Bute of Canada, and eventually would consider a move in weight to capture a second divisional title at light heavyweight.
"After the tournament, I want to face Lucian Bute. Nobody else comes to mind. However, I do not intend to underestimate any opponent, and first I need to focus on winning the tournament. If I win the tournament and beat Bute, it would be everything that I could achieve [at this weight]. Therefore, in the future I do intend to move up. I want to win titles and face the best. The tournament, organized by Showtime, gave me the opportunity to f!ght the best f!ghters in my category, and after its completion there won't be anything for me at this weight," Ward was quoted by Alexander Maldov.Comment

Thanks for the link. I'm not a fanboy so im not gonna defend Ward to the end of the earth like others on here with their fighters. I think Stevenson warrants a shot agaibst Ward, but also don't think Wards ducking. In your link Stevenson tried to dictate terms beforev any talks could even begin, that shxt ain't gonna fly.I'm sure Dawson would prefer full 175 or a cw. Gary Shaw said they asked for one and were rebuffed. And for Ward, he'd have that second lineal title which is no joke. But in response to your the Pac DLH fight, ya Pac had to move up bc he was the underdog. Ward is #2 in the world why should he have to move for Dawson? I do agree he can be hypocritical at times while trying to discredit others.. but he's still #2 p4p and shouldn't have to move out agree to anyone's terms but Floyds.Comment
