Ward didn't want to fight Bute, Froch rematch, Stevenson, doesn't want to move up to 75, doesn't want to meet guys in the middle.
He wants to be the diva, but the problem is if you keep doing that you're not going to get fights. He's going to remain inactive as he's now, and eventually people will forget about him.

Winky Wright did this. He priced himself out of fights, acted like a Diva when he loss to Hopkins and drew with Taylor and eventually went into obscurity.
ODLH was the face of boxing still at that point. He had the star power Mayweather has now. Dawson, Stevenson, Bute Froch or whoever else you might name are not ANYWHERE close to being on a Mayweather or ODLH level so that's apples to oranges in your comparison of making demands.

Froch got his a$$ whooped but then wants to make a demand on where to fight and this and that. Who tf is Froch to demand anything, he's the one tryn to get his face back not Ward.

But I do agree Ward needs to pick it up and start fighting more and quit this inactive bs. He's still #2 fighter in the world tho, and despite what you say that still holds weight if guys are actually tryin to be the best or if their just chasing paychecks.

    • Embarrassing when grown ass men become such emotional *****es when it comes to a fighter they like/dislike.

Some serious damage control is going to be needed soon.....

So what? Ward is willing to fight GGG too so he is not picking and choosing.

Golovkin is the one who claimed that he didn't want to fight at 168 yet, whenever Ward's name was brought up. But then he changed his tune real quick for Chavez Jr.

It's the very definition of a cherry pick.

Im just pointing out this is very similar to Ward Dawson just much much riskier for Pac. So while theres a lot to like about Ward, he should stop putting his foot in his mouth
I can agree with that. He's one of favorite fighters, but I can admit he's been making it hard lately by not fighting and talking so much.

Fighters who are draws in Germany tend to stay in Germany. They come to the US only if the money is right. Sturm for example has fought most of his career in Germany, with the exception of the ODH fight in the USA, and a few just outside of Germany.

The Klitschko's are another example. They fight most of their fights in Germany with few exceptions, i.e. a big Povetkin fight in Russia.

Abraham is another draw in Germany who fought outside Germany only for bigger fights such as the super six.
              Robert Stieglitz is another guy.
The list goes on and on. Some guys make more money in their home countries than they do in the US.

And while to you because you live in the US, a Ward/GGG fight would be big, it doesn't mean a Sturm fight vs GGG fight in Germany would not be huge.

Yes, very few fighters are, or ever will be on the level of Mayweather or DLH's popularity. But at the time Froch, and Bute yielded more financial power than Ward. As of right now Stevenson yields more financial power than Ward, and soon so will GGG.

We're you're wrong is in the fact you believe having p4p status gives you power, but it no longer does. Sometimes as has been the case with many fighters you have to swallow your pride, accept the terms and get in the ring and fight. Ward keeps pricing himself out, and keeps being inactive.

It's part of the reason I'm no longer a fan.

When people talk about Chavez Jr and GGG those two names can go with the word excitement, people want to see these two guys fight because you know what you're going to get (your moneys worth) but with Ward its just a harsh reality his style is heavily based on fighting dirty (breaking the rules) doing whatever it takes to win.

Andre Ward would honestly just be best on moving to 175lbs and fighting against people who he wont be able to just push about with his extra weight advantage, I'd love to see him up against Adonis or Bhop in short he needs to stop ducking that weight division and expecting to have everything his own way nobody likes a spoiled child.
What are you talking about Andre Ward is not a big super middleweight and if you actually took to the time to look at facts he is usually the smaller man in the ring or the same exact size he NEVER has a weight advantage so what you said makes no sense at all. Learn boxing before you talk or just keep your mouth shut troll.

                  • You can take away the sting of the message if you can discredit the messenger....that's what dudes are attempting to do....it's all good!!

Team Ward's shady ways doesn't make what Virgil said here to be untrue...Floyd can fight Khan in a football stadium in the UK this May and pocket something crazy.....do you think you dudes would give him a BUSINESS pass?!?....I doubt it!!

When dudes said Swift should move up to fight Floyd....yours truly said "hell no" because I don't think he can win that fight ATM....let Floyd ride someone else's wave to the bank.....I wish you Golovkin dudes can just bite down and admit that yall don't think The G dude can **** with Ward....it's okay, nothing really to be ashamed of....Ward is the best in his class and the number 2 p4p fighter....no big deal

Proving Team Ward's hypocrisy doesn't take any weight off that comment imo....we know what he's saying because we follow this sport every day all day...it's our job to be hip to the slick talk and publicity stunts
