The current greats like Mayweather and Pacquiao laugh at 136lbs vs 147lbs, 11lb difference.

If Loma really is as great as people make him out to be, but then turn around and complain about so called size disadvantage, I don't know how great he really is. I mean 11lbs, really, that's too much? Not only is 11lbs not that much for a great boxer, but also if you are really good at actually boxing, then a swarmer like Salido should have been easy pickings. I mean Garcia, Marquez, and Gamboa beat Salido with relative ease. Loma was supposed to be on another level. Honestly, if size is the problem then I don't see how he is all that great. Floyd and Pac are constantly at a 10-14lb disadvantage on fight night.

        Yeah.

Salido's a good fighter no doubt, even still today's version that's way passed his prime. But he's not too difficult to outbox and never has been.

Like Larry Merchant was saying during the fight, "He's not really 'outboxing' Salido even when he's having success" and he wasn't, I don't really see much of a good boxer.

Really just shows the difference between the Amateur's and the Pro's.

it makes perfect sense, lomachenko did very well and i acutally had it a draw but could have gave one of those rounds to salido, and plus salido cheated with the weight and low blows

On the other hand, he managed to go 12 somehow, and finished stronger than Salido did. I give him a lot of props for that, and it proves he can develop into a force to be reckoned with, if they go about it the right way.
Didn't he already had 8 fights with pro rules and no headgear? They are not official, but they should be taken into consideration because it's no different from any other pro fighter fighting 8 pro fights being 4 rounds each, or whatever amount of rounds he fought for. Salido wasn't exactly his 2nd pro fight, just his first real challenge. Rigondeaux with 8 faux pro fights under his belt, and 1 pro fight, could have beaten Salido IMO.

Loma fans and their excuses are making it quite hard to like the kid.

Why not just say the better man won on the night and leave it at that? Lets not go on like Lomachenko wasn't excessively clinching and pushing and didn't land several rabbit punches of his own.

That is the problem, to many titles and to many getting undeserved title shots by these corrupt organisations. I can't believe so many are queuing to see him fight again not only did he get exposed really he was boring as fu.ck!
Not even Wlad clinches that much

Yeah Salido has 56 fights, in terms of boxing years, he's old despite only being 33. I honestly was interested in this fight and refrained from picking a winner, but I really expected more from Lomachenko. The thought crossed my mind that he was going to beat Salido, just not enough to pick him as my prediction. I just wasn't sure, I wasn't taking the 395-1 and 2 Gold Medals too serious. But I expected more from Loma in terms of elusiveness, boxing ability, counterpunching, and I just don't see how a great fighter who's aware of his rights and the rules, would allow himself to get fouled so repeatedly without doing absolutely anything at all, verbally, physically, body language, absolutely nothing.

thats how it usually works for someone who lost to someone who lost their belt on the scale. one things for sure we complain about fighters taking easy fights well this kids jumping right in the middle of it all
