I wasn't too impressed in fairness but it was clear he has a lot more potential than Lomachenko has.

I'm still not entirely sold on him to be honest.

hmmm unsure why people think this is dangerous, the belt is vacant and I doubt he fights someone as tough as salido for the belt.

He's good. These folks claiming "he's not very good" are missing the point. I doubted he could beat Salido, but I would doubt anyone - regardless of how great an amateur they were - could beat Salido in their second official pro fight. It's just insane.

On the other hand, he managed to go 12 somehow, and finished stronger than Salido did. I give him a lot of props for that, and it proves he can develop into a force to be reckoned with, if they go about it the right way.

Correct. I wouldn't like his chances in that fight.

Honestly I don't see what's the rush in getting the belt. Let him develop properly and acclimate to the pro game otherwise they might ruin him.

I think it's obvious now that the amateurs are a very different beast compared to professional boxing.

No, he would tie two other guys if he wins a title in his next fight:
            Saensak Muangsurin
Veeraphol Sahaprom (Boxrec says 4th fight is not always reliable). Other sources say 3rd fight.

So whoever fights for that title has to fight Gary Russel, correct?

You never know with these sanctioning bodies though do you.

That's exactly what's supposed to happen. He should be fighting for that title next. There really isn't any way around that. But u never know.
